Awesome comparison vid. I love your channel
Great review as always thanks for this one.
Great review I think you keep it real and you don’t take sides like other channels on the winning USA website says gloves are made with sintetic leather but on rakuten the vendors advertise gloves as real leather
Winning with velcro looks so kreepy :)
I just got my winnings today and when I opened the package I definitely smell leather but after smelling the glove surface I don't get any smell. After close examination I found out that the leather smell comes from the palm side. Therefore I'm 99% sure that winning uses synthetic leather on the hitting surface and real leather on the palm.
I've always been on Winning side.
I know this was a year ago but the oz used to be the weight of the horsehair being put into the gloves, that means that the fly is technically more accurate than the winning in weight
I love winnings gloves 💯
I love Winning gloves but those Fly-X gloves are beautiful
Winnings offer slightly more protection but flys way more comfort. Both equally good IMO
great review, had not heard that winning was possibly using a synthetic outer but it looks to be so. all of the winning coaching gear in synthetic.
I have winning white navy and fly x and you are right. They feel and smell the same. I start to think that my winning are synthetic.
thanks man, just ordered 16oz fly gloves for some sparring. I went with the superloop x (Velcro) though. I will let you know how they turn out.
Great video man , I’ve been thinking about getting the fly super loop x but I don’t know wether to get 14oz or 16 oz , I want a glove to spar with and hit the bag to , will the 14s still offer the protection and padding a 16oz glove would ? Or do you think they would hurt your sparring partner ? and is there still plenty room in the hands for the 14oz ?
Thanks for the comparison! May i know which of these 2 gloves have a more compact, smaller hand compartment?
I bought a pair of winning last month and another pair this month. The first pair used the 2 different leathers. The second pair I just got actually used the same leather on the inside of the palm and wrist throughout the whole glove where as the first pair I got last month has a different leather on the punch surface and back on the hand and wrist. I bought the lace ups btw.
Hey bro can you tell me if your 14 oz superloop weigh 17.5 oz? Fly says that's the weight before the strap or laces but I think they are wrong.
Winning genuine leather is different from the synthetic on the Fly X line gloves. The Fly synthetic is very similar to the synthetic leather Winning used on their headgear.
Hey, very nice review. What about their hand compartment? I find Winning 16oz to loose for me and I’m looking for a high quality lace up glove. Are Fly a bit tighter or biger inside? Maybe you could recomend some other brand that is more compact inside?
Winning uses real leather on the punching surfaces, palmside and thumb as well. the tubeing and the seam beneath the thumb is synthetic leather (same materialas my groinguard) . As far as I can tell.. I have a pair of white winning ms600 from rakuten. And I can asure you my statement because I've been using them for 4 over 4 years. The white coloring has been comming off the sufaces where the friction and impact has been strongest. And you can clearly see the realleather grain and structure beneath it (pale, sandy color-ish) . Also I think it's a bit odd to compare wrist support between the two of them, because the lace up winnings (if properly done) should give you about the same support as those flys.
