People really slept on Rickea Jackson. Wasn't talked about enough but understood it because of the popularity of Clark/Brink/Cardoso/Reese which deserved the attention. But Rickea is an all around player that can score inside and out, play defense and is very tough minded. I know most will say the duo of Cardoso/Reese in Chicago, but they don't have a lot of offense game especially in the perimeter, but could grow into later in their careers. They will however be really good defensively and getting rebounds. But right off the bat, for me the LA Sparks have the best incoming duo in Brink/Jackson because both can do it on both ends.

The fact there is only 12 teams in the WNBA is problematic. If these ladies didn't get drafted in the 1st round, its a wrap for most of the draftees to make any team roster. We have seen this in past years where your favorite collegiate player goes 2nd round, only to play overseas. Expand the league to 16 viable teams!

It's kinda hard to say who's the best player coming out. It could be Brink because she's the most balanced (can do it all). Hands down the biggest impact player is Clark! Angel is raw on offense, but she has a little shot in the paint which has gotten to be reliable along with her put backs underneath

As a Mystics fan, i'm happy with the Aaliyah Edwards pick. But id be lying if I didn't say I feel like we missed a HUGE opportunity with passing on Angel Reese. She's from Baltimore only an hour away from DC, the buzz she woulda brought to the city, the Mystics woulda been bigger than the Wizards, EASILY. and I think that buzz woulda flowed throughout the rest of the team and the organization. we coulda had two of our best players being from the area with Shakira being from VA as well. That duo would've been crazy. And not only that, by passing on Angel we let her go to another Eastern Conference team who already picked Kamila Cardoso a few picks before. So now we gotta go through Chicago lol. Either way, Aaliyah is a very good pick, she's from UCONN so we know she's pro ready, we don't doubt her skill. But I feel sometimes, it's not always about X's and O's.

I thought that wouldve been an excellent move to have Cardoso at the 5 and Zia Cook getting more playing time at the 1 or 2 spot. The previous chemistry at S.Carolina with those two would translate great in the W....and Reese adding that additional spark (no pun intended), to the floor at a possible 4 position...but Chicago got the picks in that subpar market.

Unpopular opinion -- LA Sparks won the draft. Rickea Jackson is about to be the best wing player in the league. She didn't get a lot of attention but she's a clutch player who's scoring will free up her teammates. I was sure the Sky were going to take her at #3 but when she fell to the Sparks, LA won the draft hands down. Brink needs to get stronger with the ball and finish better, but the fact that she can shoot the 3 makes her special offensively and she's got great defensive instincts.

All women won as a whole from themselves and all women lost from WNBA as the organization is paying these women a misery for salaries. We, as collective sport fans need to change that by supporting their games much more and demanding more from WNBA.

@troyortega4494 the current WNBA has some very pretty ladies. Plus, do men watch the men's game because of the attractiveness of the players? Or course not, they watch for the entertainment value. The WNBA has gotten a bad rap, the games are entertaining.

Rikea Jackson is a great player. With her size, speed, and mobility, she is going to be great. The media focused on CC 100% of time, which was unfair. This entire draft class is loaded. The WNBA needs some expansion teams so players don't have to go overseas. The fans have to support all of the teams. Good marketing will bring in revenue and help the WNBA make a profit. Hopefully the starting wage will go up. The starting pay should be 100k. Congrats to the entire 2024 WNBA draft class.❤❤❤❤

Brink or Reese for ROY, if Brink doesn't get injured. Highly doubt that in Pro ball, CC will be allowed to take a lot of "Logo 3's". Brink is a work fiend, playing club local Oregon basketball during the collegiate off /Summer season & simply putting in the work. 3 point contests vs Steph Curry & the entire Brink/Curry family dynamic/friendship definitely pushed & helped her. Amazing supportive parents as well. Sadly any of the top 10 stand a high risk of injury obviously in the pros & their expected immediate starting positions. It being an Olympic year, USA no matter what will have a very young & loaded squad. Gold medal caliber. I KNEW Cardoso would go higher than projected #7. However I question her maturity (vs Clark or Brink, & her work ethic.). Cardoso has never made any excuses for her moving to the WNBA as fast as possible, in the best situation, for the $$$$$$ to help her family in Brasil. More power to her 👍🫶. IMHO in 2-3 years, IF her drive stays strong @ the pro level after the big payday, she or Reese (less but same mental maturity issues IMO) will definitely seem like the steal of the draft. I'm very surprised Reese slid to #7 (projected as high as #3) as a 2x NCAA Champion? I understand Cardoso @ #3 due to size, last season & natural ferocity of her game but Reese #7? Clark definitely will set a rookie record for fouls vs. as she's dangerous anyplace past 1/2 Court, either shooting or distributing. Personally given the hype around Paige Buecker out of HS, I'm glad she wasn't in this draft. & Hope 1-2 solid, no injuries seasons will raise both her game & draft status. Luck to all the ladies in this draft. I'd definitely travel to a Sparks game just to watch Brink play. She embarrassed UCLA @ home! I hope they come out with Autographed & Jersey swatch cards & signed memorabilia of this entire draft as a sports memorabilia collector!
