When I was a kid in the 60's I used to watch Willie bounce all over the strip at Irwindale and you never lived life unless you saw him drive this car with ONE HAND ON THE WHEEL !!! God Bless you Wild Willie Borsch !!!

Saw a couple of fuel altereds in Maryland in the late '60s and as one of the cars approached the timing traps doing about 190 mph the car did a wheelie just before the chute came out. Great class! Sorry that NHRA eliminated them as a separate class. Always a great show.
I remember this car and "Wild Willi Borsch" going through the lights sideways at over 190 mph at the Nationals in Indianapolis in 1965. The new driver puts on a pretty good show also! ITs a tribute to the owners of these cars, Pure Hell, Nanook, The Rat Trap, etc. that they are still up and running! These were the original bad boys of 60's drag racing!

I talked to one of the original members of the team many years ago and he said that the original car's frame was made out of exhaust pipe tubing!

I am so offended! My Prius is not polluting our planet with awful tire smoke and loud exhaust pipes! I am a woman who loves her Prius, but tonight I am hating myself. Why? Because watching this video and listening to it with head phones, well, makes my naughty parts tingle. I hate my self!
