Although I share your concerns regarding the wine industry, of course there are always positive forces, counter movements. The interesting wines you propose make me positive and happy! Also because I see the necessary positive developments, such as the exciting developments in South Africa in recent decades. Like the one in 'Swartland' for example. You can see these positive developments in more wine regions. Despite new challenges that are certainly there. In my opinion, you rightly recommend Hamilton-Russell wines. With the closing word in this video, I totally agree. There is so much more that the prestigious & precious wines. But I expected no different from an experienced and knowledgeable man.

There’s so many wines to explore. It’s fun and interesting to branch out. The wines that have been intriguing me the past several months are Château La Dame de Montrose (second to Montrose) Château Branaire Ducru, Château La Pointe (Pomerol), and Château de Cos (second to Cos de Estournel).

Thanks for making these videos. Really got into the 2011 Tondonia from your last video.

Been working my way through the catalog of videos. Heard you mention a couple of times about buying at auction for less than retail …and also Produttori for ~$35😮 Can you point me in the right direction…where can I find wine at great prices. I’m not familiar with the wine auctions and I never really find anything under retail.

Have u tried any wines from Mexico? I will send u a few to try if u like. I am a newbie to wine and live in Mexico City. Would be delighted to have u do a video giving your honest opinion. (I don’t rep any brand, just trying to gain more knowledge and appreciation)

First of all the Pol Roger 2002 Vintage spent about eight years aging in their caves. The protracted aging allows the wine to develop the CO2 bubbles that interacts with the yeast cells in the wine. Before bottling the free floating yeast is extracted from the bottle (disgorgment)and topped off with reserve wine (dosage). As far as storing Champagne and white wines: I place my sparkling wines at the bottom level of my cellar. The temperature of the bottom to the top of a wine storage area can be as much as five degrees. Cold air sinks-while warmer air rises. I store my Champagnes laying on their sides (the way they are shipped) but I read it might be alright to stand them upright because the CO2 bubbles moistens the corks.
