Was a member of an informal wine tasting club for several years, and we had a two-part motto that's worth remembering. 1) if you think it's good wine, then it is good wine, no matter what anyone else says, and 2) if it's cheap, it's even better! Cheers, mate!

Funny how you talk about company being exciting. I'm only 27, but I was raised to appreciate and serve company, especially when unexpected. I also read that we live longer when involved in a community. Strange how the world is a little more isolated than when I was young. Love the review! Just risked it (only$11) on a 4L jug knowing nothing about it. Came home and checked out your video. I came to the right place. Thank you. CHEERS!

I'm 29 now but when I was in Highschool my friends and I would get a bottle of Carlo Rossi and a dimebag of pot and go on the roof of his garage at night and just get obliterated. Good stuff. Brings me back!

Man, this takes me back. All through the 1970s when I was married, that was the ex-wife's go-to wine and as she got older it (or the Gallo "burgendies") pretty much remained so. The difference being that she always bought the 4L bottles four at a time to get the case discount. I have done, too, fairly frequently. I used the 4L bottles to drain oil into when I was doing my own oil changes. Probably the best bang for your alcohol buck here in Ohio given the various alcohol tax categories and still have something drinkable. When I was a kid people dropped by all the time unannounced. Now, it's like negotiating a peace treaty to arrange a visit.

Hola paisano=))! I came across this searching for Paisano as I had never heard of it and was killing time while diner cooks. I purchased Carlo Rossi Paisano's wine for this time today Tues 8/17/21. I am a fan of Carlo Rossi jug wine, in particular the Sangria; however, the grocer has been out of the Sangria since Christmas so I decided to try this one . You mentioned pizza and pasta for this wine and I agree BUT it's going to have to do with Pork Lion, as that's what's cooking. I have to admit, your assessment it spot on. I was agreeing with your details on the smell and step-by-step infused flavors. I like this "table wine" and will most likely purchase again if Sangria is not available. Thank for the video, 3 years later it's still being appreciated! Salute!

Great review. The old timers in my neighborhood drank this with 7UP soda for a nice spritzer. Question: Knowing how wine oxidizes after opening, I've always seen this jug stored under the cabinet at room temperature. How does a huge jug like this which should take a couple weeks to drink, not go bad?

I enjoy the wine alot. Usually buy the middle size jug. Excellent review.

Spanish red wine is fantastic my friend, both in taste and value. Try Fiano, it's an Italian grape which makes a white wine that is very good.

I live in wine country. Sonoma county. Wine snobs everywhere. I've had "great wines" given to me and I've bought expensive wines. I've toured vineyards and tasted whatever they thought would sell their brand. Meh. It's all rotten grapes. Carlo Rossi is as good as anything. Drink it, cook with it, mix it with 7up at the lake. It gets ya drunk and is consistent in flavor from year to year. Can't ask for much more

I’ve come to find that the words “table wine” are synonymous with just calling it bad wine. Back when this crappy wine was affordable I would buy these so I could choke down this painful drink, and then use the beautiful jug to create some great homemade wine

I buy those in the 1 gallon jugs for the jug (demi john). The wine is just a plus. I brew cranberry wine in mine. BTW. Love the "company" story. Cheers Paisan. =)

Drunkinone a lot of people repurpose these bottles. I'm hapot you enjoyed the company story.

Deffinately easier to drink than the Chianti. Sweet Red goes down nice, but a little less abv. I wish they sold minatures so you could sample them. The Davinchi Pinot Grigio is good too I always wanted to try making my own sometime with spring water

Sweet tart and fruity at reasonable price perfect for chilling with friends or alone. You cannot go wrong with Carlo rossi pisano in this Era of over priced and hyped wines.

My friend has a restaurant that he would use Paisano wine as a house wine is customers wanted the house wine because it tasted better than the expensive bottles

This is a beautiful wine

Paisano's my favorite so far. I usually mix it with either grape or cranberry juice, to make it a little bit less sour, it adds a sweet taste to it. Also good for marinating steaks, fruit and vegetables for the grill. Burgundy's my second favorite. Enjoy my friends!

We laughed so much about the "company cake". We joke about the same thing. I just bought a gallon and we like it. It's good chilled and for the summer will make a nice drink paired with a cigar! CAO Italia of course!

how long does it stay good after you open it?

Bought this for the first time on 2-23-19 in a 4 liter glass "bottle" here in the Sacramento Valley of California and it's clearly labeled "12% BY VOL." Odd that there is a .5% by volume difference.

Timothy Truby hello and thank you for visiting my channel. Wine makers are allowed a 1.5% leeway in ABV on wine in the U.S. A wine can list an ABV of 12% and be anywhere from 10.5 and 13.5% ABV. Just a quirk in the wine laws.

Damn paisan why’d you get mad at me at 9:00...😆. I’m j/k. You remind me of my cousin who I love very much. Has a very similar face and mannerisms. Fellow italian from North Jersey here, I suspect you’re from around here. Great video. I enjoyed hanging out with you for a bit sipping on some CR Paisano. And I hear you, I was born in the mid 80’s but I still remember as a kid/teenager ppl stopping by and appreciating company much more. The smart phones and the internet made it too easy to avoid human contact and the excitement of human face to face interaction. It truly changed our world for worse. It’s a shame, but it just makes those of us who have experienced life before the internet hold a unique perspective on life.

I bought five liters of the paisano for like 15 bucks. Its good stuff for the price. Similar to a Zin honestly.

I am really fond of cheap sangrias and carlo rossi is a good one especially if you add some orange slices and limes in there and let it chill really nice citrus flavor. WWould love to get your thoughts on it, it is also very good mixed with sprite or carbonated lemonade to make a more citrusy tinto.

1st mistake, putting in a glass. It is either suckled directly out of the jug or placed in an old McDonalds soft drink cup with a straw, for concealment purposes of course. Most importantly, it must be consumed at a specific location like a park bench, behind the liquor store, or any questionably unsafe alley. BWHAHAHAHA
