I have hundreds of thousands of duplicate files. There is a lot of software that works for this, but not many programs make it easy at this scale. CCleaner just gave up on me. It got rid of some, but left a bunch of others.

No program is perfect it nearly always boils down to some degree of manual deletion.

Is there a way to delete let's say 100 or 1000 files without check marking individually?

You can delete a batch of files/folders by clicking the first file in the list once, then hold down the shift key whist clicking the last file in the list, this will highlight all the files to be deleted, then press delete. But all files need to be together to do this.

Did not work for me. Time consuming and would not delete selections.

Did you finally get yours sorted? Windows has a terrible way of making a copy of it seems everything you touch. Then it hides it somewhere (in my case) on one of my 6 ssd’s. Been finding crap for weeks. Then it hit me, once I find it windows just hid another 🤦🏼‍♂️. I think my only way out is buy an external drive large enough to hold what I need to save. Then a flat out reformat and fresh install. There is a good PC guru named Chris Titus on KZread. He shows and has utilities that can get a desolated version of windows which makes set up so much easier. And don’t forget, for anyone wiping the computer to disconnect from the internet while installing so you don’t get all the nagging from Microsoft/windows trying to make you feel if you try to do anything without signing in that things will not work properly. Quite the opposite. I find things smoother when you keep their fingers out of it.
