I suspect you should NEVER disable real-time protection for any anti-malware program and then expect it to protect you. The whole reason to have anti-malware software is to proactively intercept malware.

I did that with a different pc and the anti-virus program sent many warnings and messages. BUT did not change the script :/

Yes,you are missing something.It is called "Windows defender" not fighter.It is basically preventing you from downloading virus and malware or activating it.It always sends you messages when you close it to open it again.So windows is actually doing a great job with this defender.

No, that's normal. If Avast is installed it becomes your AV and you should use the real time scanning in that. If you want Defender real time scanning available, you have to uninistall Avast.

Your windows defender and antivirus cannot delete some viruses if it is installed and both of them are off. But if you keep windows defender and antivirus on, it wont let you install. So whenevr windows defender doesnt give you access, dont turn it off. This is the reason peoples laptops and computers are slow. And dont forget to update your computer or laptop and windows defender updated.

Windows defender is not good at cleaning up the threats which you allowed. You can still prefer using offline scan or Malwarebytes
