    Thank you for all the informational videos. You really helped me become better at tinting. And I like how you explain things so I’m more informed. Rather than just imitating what I see in videos. Mahalo from Hawaii

    If you get an old BMW Mercedes or any old foreign car...make sure you n the customer go out to the car and test every rollup that it go's down n up...n don't start messing with any buttons sunroof or power seat...you or anyone else...cause you push a button n then it won't work...you open the sunroof then it won't close...you mess with the seat then it won't go back...all this is money to fix and it won't be cheap on old foreign cars...paper towel n black tape when you cut yourself till it stops bleeding quick fix when your slammed with cars...

    Awesome stuff! I have a question... Can you get in trouble for installing illegal tint even if the customer signs a waiver releasing you from all liabilities? Also, can I expect to do 1-2 cars a day fairly consistently when I launch my shop? I tint on the side and I am about ready to open up shop. Any tips on finding a shop under $2000 lease? I have no idea how much I will make once I open the business. I know it depends... on numerous factors. I am just curious.. I make good money on the side, but Tinting 1 car every couple days will not compensate for overhead. thanks in advance!!

    standard business licence processed through your city. Some states require you have a businwss licence in each city you work in. this could be a pain if you're mobile. Every state is different so check w your local city requirements.

    What if you don't want to leave your car? What if it's brand new without a scratch? Are you allowed to hang out and watch? My concern is scratching my interior or paint. And how dirty the shop is around the paint. And the water being sprayed everywhere. These are my concerns....

    Have you noticed that Llumars glue is real good or the other films is the glue good ...when it is does it speed up jobs???

  • @WindowTintingBusiness

    @WindowTintingBusiness

    6 жыл бұрын

    glue is irrelevant until you're doing removal of old glue. The point of your slip solution is to prevent the adhesive from bonding instantly. So if a film had a stronger adhesive then I'd just use more soap in my slip solution to counter it.

    Overall informative however at the end the last tip about getting customers to sign a damage liability contract. From the business end it is a great idea, from a consumer end it looks sketchy and offers the customer doubt in your professionalism. I always have them sign a work release order, but refrain from the damage liability.

  • @WindowTintingBusiness

    I can see your view on this and I agree. I think for someone that's just starting out that doesn't have a damage nest egg established yet this is the situation that it would be beneficial. Most tinters just starting out don't get insurance or have any savings, just film, tools and heart. I'm not condoning such business practices but I'm speaking on the viewpoint of reality and what I know really happens in the real world. thanks for watching!

    sooo.....I didn't read any comments, I really hope this has been said: when you left the clients keys on the windshield and they drove away resulting in locksmith being called in, and you lost $..... how did this happen? perhaps your client was toying with you.....?

    I checked the cameras. I left the keys on their windshield and they left, the car turned on because the keys were so close. In this particular story I went to look for the key outside and found it ran over in the road.
