I was so worried that he'd have to peel off everything, but this is genuinely reassuring! I will go to him with a good attitude and ask him nicely to try and repair like you've shown is possible. What if after you have done the tint and you squeegy out the water. Then after you check hours later you see a dime sized water bubble... Should you leave it as is so ithe water will eventually evaporate or do you try and push it out knowing that the rest of the film is already tacked down and the water will more than likely NOT push out anywhere else since the window is already squeegied and curing? Poke a small hole in the bubble and squeeze the water out or let it be and when it evaporates then lightly push it down if it hasn't stuck to the window?

    Great channel and great content! Currently in a learning process on my own car and am thinking about starting up a business if it goes to plan. Will definitely use your website if it does! Quick question: How much time do you have for fixing these mistakes? In my particular case, I applied my tint 24 hours ago and first noticed the bubbles and specs now. The temp has been around 3-5 C. Thanks!

  • @TintSchoolOnline

    @TintSchoolOnline

    4 жыл бұрын

    Hello Kevin, it really depends on the temperature, the amount of soap used and even how it is parked (if it is facing the sun). The bigger the mistake the quicker you will need to be. You can only really tell once you start trying to chizzle the specs(if the air is moving or not). So give it a go and if the air around the spec isn't moving or it is coming back after a minute it will need to be replaced. If it is a bubble, you can pop it with your knife and press the air out that way. Hope this helps and good luck!

    So last night I got my windows tinted they all came out great but today I noticed the rear window has 2 small creases/bubble. Can I still do this or would it have to be redone there in the bottom corner

    I just had 35% done on my Honda accord, and when I picked it up from the shop the tint had ALLOT of air bubbles on all windows, and I was told it would dissipate. Seeing that really RUINED my whole experience at that shop, and they should never have let the car leave that way... 😔

    Ok mate quick question. I don't have any of these when I apply a film except smudges, are they because of soapy water and they will dissappear after specific period of time or i should use just clear water instead? I didn't want to risk leaving the tint so I stripped it straight after

    Hey guys. I just got my tint done two days ago. I see small specs and 1 water bubble on the rear window. Should I wait at least a week or two to allow the tint to fully dry and settle or should I contact my tint guy?

    I had bubbles in my tint. I contacted the guy and he removed them like you did, but the tint was all scratched up so he had to remove and apply new tint

    I have a jetta VI and I have got very big bubbles on the back window! I have a question is it OK if I install the film over the window (outside) ? Because pulling the old tint can break the heaters (defrost)! Right! Any suggestions? Thanks

    I really wouldn't recommend installing from outside, it will look really bad and won't last very long. You should wait for a really hot day and leave the car in the sun, then try and remove the tint, this way the heatlines are more likely to be saved.

    @@TintSchoolOnline thank you. Even if I break the defrost, I never use it.
