Clew-first at the end is very impressive.!

You should see him wave sailing.

What was the volume on the board...and wing size?

Do you remember what sail sizes they use? Most of them looks like max 7m².

Simons's Blue and red Simmer is a 5.0, his Yellow and black Simmer is 5.9, JJ's Yellow and Green Simmer is 5.9, Ben's Foil Glide Severne is either a 5.0 or 6.0. I have only ever seen him use a 5.0 but it's possible he was testing a 6.0 prototype in that video.

@@TomHofmann thanks for your answer! Really small sails. I really struggle to fly with similar sails in light wind. Do you know how much wind they need to fly with these sails? 10 knots? Less? And did they use i76, i84, i99? Would be very interesting for me! Best regards

@@robinheidenreich3253 the Slingshot i76, Severne Redwing, Slingshot 730 are all free ride oriented wings designed to get you going in about 8 to 10 knts. If you are using wave sails try running your extension about 5 centimetres longer than printed on the sail and only downhaul enough so the battens move away from the mast but the leech stays tight. That should increase the lift of your sail. The second thing is pointing downwind and actively pumping both with legs and pulling the past up and down. A bit like when you see prone foilers pumping the wing. That will get enough lift to get on the foil. The stall speed of those free ride wings is quite low so once you are on the foil after pumping you stay flying. Hope that makes sense.

When I think about water sports in Australia I think of crocodiles. Are they a threat where you are?

Crocodiles are only found in the northern parts of Australia. In Western Australia that's from Broome northwards and in the Queensland on the East Coast from roughly Port Douglas north wards. Areas where saltwater crocs are a problem are clearly signed by local council. Fresh water crocs are mostly harmless. To be honest I'd be more worried about the car being broken into than having an unwanted encounter in the ocean. Both are possibilities are in the scheme of things natural predators are the last thing on my mind.
