Wind River Mountains 3 Day Backpacking Trip: Island Lake/Indian Basin/Fremont Saddle/Titcomb Basin
Музыка
This video documents a 3 day backpacking trip through the Wind River Mountains in Wyoming from July 13 through 15, 2021. We started at the Elkhart Park trailhead northeast of Pinedale, Wyoming, and followed the Pole Creek Trail to Photographer's Point where we had our first unobscured view of the entire mountain range. We continued on to Seneca Lake, starting high above the water with spectacular views of the mountains and descending next to the water's edge surrounded by steep cliffs. We made camp on the southwest side of Island Lake near a small pond with our tent situated high above the lake and displaying magnificent views into Titcomb Basin. The next day, we followed the Indian Pass trail into Indian Basin, which was full of beautiful alpine lakes and towering, rugged peaks. We climbed the saddle of Fremont Peak to reveal a spectacular panoramic view of Titcomb Basin and Indian Basin. Climbing down from the Fremont saddle involved some route finding through class 3 terrain and eventually led to the shore of Mistake Lake. We followed Titcomb Basin south next to the Titcomb Lakes, and finally returned to our same camping spot near Island Lake. The last day we backtracked the same trail we came in on. It was an amazing hike with Indian Paintbrush blooming all along the trail and great weather all three days on the trail.

Great video thanks for posting 👍😁🇺🇸
Love the serenity, it's what to expect from a place like this. Sometimes background music overkill.
Spectacular views. Very well done unsurpassed quality and well explained. Thanks.
Excellent video. Great commentary. I love that you keep the camera focused on the scenery and not on you. Keep up the good work
So cool!!!!
Wind rivers are amazing! Great video and shots 👍
Glad to see that the hordes of people who were there for the eclipse in August 2017 are finally gone!

Another excellent video. Glad I found your channel. Poetic beauty, the US is the champ...sorry Switzerland, although you're not far behind and I loved my visit to the Bernese Oberland

Question: Do you make your little brother carry all the equipment so you can film? And in another video, there was a bear box off the campground... Was that a provision of Grand Teton? or is that somehow folded up and on your brother's back? lol
When is the best time of the year to do that?
💪🇵🇱
Are there fires nearby?
One of the many good things about being in the back country is that you only meet good people there - the jerks are lazy and stay in the cities.
