Love your newfound fondness for cycling. One comment: Philipsen is perfectly positioned for the sprint. Of the people in front of him, two are fading from the late attack (Pidcock and Sobrero (green shirt)), two are leadouts from their teammates (Van der Poel, world champion in the white shirt, and Stuyven, in the red, blue and yellow shirt). So he is really in 3rd position of the people who are contesting the sprint. Cycling is all about aerodynamics; you want to hide from the wind for as long as possible to reduce how much power you need to go the same speed as the other riders. For Philipsen, he was able to avoid the wind, thus having more power left over for the sprint. There is weird stuff happening in cycling all the time; it could be a huge treasure trove of content for you.

Did expect the Storm to open, but that try will be ALL OVER hype reels and ads for the NRL for decades to come.
Euro league cricket is a gold mine for clips
I used to play soccer in New Zealand, in the capital city Wellington - which is universally accepted as being the windiest city in the world (yes, even windier than Chicago). The golden rule when playing in the wind was always to keep the ball on the ground - but of course people would *always* try a shot like that one...NEVER saw anyone pull it off before though!
I think what you saw tumbling during the cycling was the sunglasses form the cyclist with the orange/black helmet. You see he looks down, they fall off his face, and bounce around his bike for a second before tumbling sideways across the ground. When you see him congratulating the winner at the end he's the only one without sunglasses as well.

the sumo is from the lower ranks where you see more fun mismatches. you can see their belts are cotton instead of silk and the ref isn't allowed to wear shoes in the lower ranks.

No weight class means you get some really get small dudes taking on some meh big dudes. That big guy couldn't get any leverage, classic take your opponent by the belt, find your position and fight it out.
Just FYI, women's collegiate ice hockey is no check, so things that look normal to men's/NHL viewers might seem out of place. The hit at 3:11 has little to do with the actual hit and more to do with full body contact
0:16 Trys in Rugby League are worth four points, the only way Melbourne Storm get six is if the resulting Conversion kick was good, which would also be impressive, since he would be kicking it from the touch line.
Fan D! Also, cricket and rugby are my two new favorite sports. Cheers!

That flying footballer is unreal! Ok I'm going to say it again, I love this "Everything you missed" stuff!
The dude in front who gasses is Tom Pidcock not Piddlecock, but he races for Ineos, so insulting him is fine. Also you may not have noticed, but Jasper Phillipsen (a borderline d-bag) is decked out in an Alpecin-Decuninck kit that is supposed to look like it's double denim.

Many years ago, on a windy day in Liverpool, Tim Howard scored a box to box goal for Everton. He didn't even crack a smile, let alone celebrate the goal. I think he genuinely felt bad for the other keeper.
When I was a student at Clarkson there was a men's playoff game that went to 3 overtimes, and by the end the entire student section had chants to the tune of "we want to go home", but it was wild to watch.

@jomboymedia 07:37 I asked a friend who's got knowledge of the sumo scene, he said it's an official sumo match. Just the lower ranks, both those fighters aren't professionals yet aka they aren't being paid yet. But it's definitely an official match. In the lower ranks, you can find all kinds of weights and matchups, because there aren't any weight classes. So a skinny beginner can fight against a more experienced, heavier beginner

ALGORITHM
Those were the linesman not the refs in the Clarkson tying goal clip (the refs have red stripes on their jerseys). The linesman don’t call penalties really, mostly icings and offsides, but they’re supposed to split up scrums which is why they stood there, just in case.
5:05 -- sunglasses fall off the face of the dude (red helmet) next to the winner
Piddlecock? Bro, the guy is an Olympic and World Champion in 2020 and 2023 respectively in his Part Time gig racing XC Mountainbike. Also the best descender in the World Tour pro peloton. His only chance was to go early as Phillipson is faster flat out in a sprint. Realistically, at that point, he had absolutely zero chance outside of a crash behind him. Cycling is a wildly misunderstood sport, first it is genuinely a team sport a riders team and how they control the race to benefit their leader matters, second being in the wind is a major disadvantage that is why you see tight groups, every attack out of this group is an energy sapping gamble so tactics are real and constant throughout. There is far more depth to it than most assume on top of the grueling nature, but just for reference to the latter, these 130 to 160 pound riders will consume over 6000 calories a day during a Grand Tour to MAINTAIN weight. The big tours cover nearly or over 2000 miles in 21 stages and the one day Classics, such and Milan San Remo, Strada Bianche and Paris Roubaix travel well over 100 miles of racing at average speeds around 27 mph. Many of these races are well over 100 years old being run every year without either a world war or covid.
Next week cover jack McVeighs game winner in the nbl
