Wilson Audio Sasha DAW - How to install and set up
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
To answer many of you, I would take the Wilson Audio Sasha DAW speakers home. These are truly amazing and give me most of the sound that the larger models are capable of, and still fit comfortably in a small space. I go through how the time alignment works, the technical details and the protection system

Love the video. Great window to the technology and attention to detail that Wilson utilizes.
Man those are some gorgeous speakers. Love the aesthetic design. Hopefully I will be able to hear some in person. Have a great day!
A very complete explanation. Thanks.
Knowledgeable, helpful and self deprecating, all the traits I admire in a good salesperson. Thank you for an excellent introduction to the Sasha DAW!
I’m digging your belt bucket as well.....
Really love the videos these guys are putting out now. I made some twee comment some months ago that they were a bit awkward on camera, but I thought that was their charm. Now? Still love the videos, even though they have lost the slightly awkward style that all new youtubers have. Great content, I'll never be able to afford the juicy stuff in their store, but I can still drool over it.....
I love them... just got them... had the 8's but these DAW's are an amazing beast.. I have them in Ivory.
I have to say I am only 4 minutes into this video and it is already excellent. You do an excellent and thorough job explaining the history and now you're launching into explaining the speakers themselves this is great and very thorough really well done
Thank you for another great video!
Wow those are cool speakers!
Brilliant! Thanks, Adrian!
Great how to video! Thanks
Really enjoyed the insights 🙏
Fabulous!
While iv'e never heard a couple of Wilson's, i somehow still have a dream getting a pair before i'm "out of here" ;-) The original Puppy's is my goal, but that most for the affordability there is pointing this model out. The Sasha's i'm sure is a step up the ladder. Cheers from Denmark
I like your personal take on gear as a group of friends and getting to know what you value - I would love to hear how each of you got into working in audio and making this choice over other career choices. Thank you!
Great review 👍🏽🤟🏽🤙🏽
Way cool. I've read that Dave Wilson used to joke that the name for the woofer module was 'because a Tiny Tot's best friend is his Puppy.' Or words to that effect.
Midrange driver also have flared port behind the speaker cabinet 🤔...interesting speaker design ....
I actually liked the Sabrina's more than these after hearing both on the same day and they're less expensive to boot !

That's interesting, can you elaborate on what components were used with each and what did you like more about the Sabrina?

@@divertiti the Sabrina's were powered by low to mid tier solid state Mac gear and the daw's were powered by high end audio research tube gear - bass extension was more impressive and immersive with the Sabrina's, width and depth of soundstage was noticeably better - and clarity of the Sabrina was equally as impressive without the edgier highs of the the DAW's - the sasha's aren't necessarily objectionable, but they aren't remarkable either IMO - after hearing nearly 70 pairs of speakers my top five were the b&w 800 D3 and 802 D3, rockport Cygnus, Wilson Sabrina, and sonus faber serafino tradition in no particular order

I can hear the enclosure pretty clearly on any Wilson model below the Sasha DAW or older Sasha W/P.
I bet you had Wilson Audio TuneTots in the kids room with the crib in the sweet spot.
I've had the blessing of auditioning the DAW, and they are great, but placement at least 3' away from listening position front wall and 8' apart are essential.

that all depends on the SIZE room they are in..
Does a speaker cloth/grill somewhat accomplish the same thing related to time alignment? High frequencies are more direct and accordingly anything put it front blocks those waves. Lower frequencies are less impacted. I guess this is why also many systems consist of bookshelf speakers and separate subs. I prefer to look at my engine through a glass vs seeing the resistors through a glass. 😂
Given the dimensions of the speakers, how 'small' is the small space into which they will fit comfortably, and perform to the required standard? Also, what is the required power output of an amplifier to drive them optimally?

$37900 in the United States (re: the absolute sound "2020 ULTIMATE DIRECTORY to High-End Loudspeakers and Cables" issue 307, p. 122). Optional finishes will cost more, but that information was not provided.
Couple of faux pas but that unscripted stuff. I was told that Banana plugs produce the best connections so why would Wilson not go that route?
Whats your email, Im intereste in buying the Sasha DAW. I would like to send you some audio files and wont you to play them and then upload the video to youtube so that I can hear my music played through the Wilson Sasha DAWs

$$?
It is a shame that not more people will be able to enjoy this speaker. At $38,000 (US) this speaker costs about the same as the average automobile.
I've never heard a speaker worth over $2,000
