One thing more amazing than this song? Willie is still touring. Just wish I was in the US to get to them! He's up there with the best, in the top 1 people I would love to shake hands with.

One of my favorite versions. Love his phrasing and how he dances around the melody with his words. As he gets older, his delivery of the words becomes more fragile. It makes the song more wistful.

That song is really special , my father used to listen it almost at midnight when he when back home from work, tired, I was a kid then. He passed away just 4 years ago and I couldn't be there to make him feel he was not alone. I will miss him forever.

Best song ever sung and written. Period!! Love you my life long friend!!! My mom and I have always loved you!!! My mom had all of your albums, she played the records on the hifi! When she played these records we'd stop being bad kids!!! Our dad was gone, he was on a aircraft carrier. I remember my mom being so sad, because she was alone, and us 6 kids were too much for her!!! I get it now, but when your young and dumb you don't have a clue what your lonely mom is going through. We'd all give her a break when she'd play your records on the hifi! Ich habe ihn damals zu tiefsten DDR Zeiten das erste mal gehört, durch Zufall!!! Da war ich ca 11 Jahre jung 😮. Aber ich habe nachgefragt. Sollte über die Musik nicht sagen wo ich sie hörte!!!! Ich habe dann zu meinem Geburtstag eine Kassette von der Musik bekommen. Und bis heute liebe ich seine Musik!!!! Jeden seiner Auftritte habe ich irgendwie verfolgt 😅😊😊. Aber leider hatte ich nie genug Geld dafür, auf seine Konzerte hinzu fahren 😢. Aber das ist ja nicht so schlimm, denn ich kann es ja hier nachhören 😊. Es ist zwar nicht live aber besser als alles zu verpassen 😅!!!!! Wünsche Ihm alles gute und viel Gesundheit in seinem Leben 😅😅!!! Werde deine Live Musik vermissen 😢!!! Me lembro dessa canção na versão do Zezé e Luciano com a participação dele. Com todo respeito, mas ficou um abismo entre os dois lados rsrs. Sem contar que essa canção exigem um nível alto necessário para interpreta-la.
