I heard this when it released. I was watching TV in jail in Newark Ohio. I started crying and had to get up and go to my cell. It reminded me of my dad, a huge Willie fan, and I was so sad I disappointed him. Music can be so inspiring and powerful.

My 8 year old son is on the ASD spectrum and he was having a meltdown there and he wanted to stand in the rain as he said it looks like tears. I put this song on for him and he immediately just hugged into me and rocked himself back and forth. He asked me if this can be our song. I swear, I’m crying as I wrote this because he’s my blue eyed baby and I’ve blue eyes. It’s been my favourite song since my childhood too. 🖤

@@berniemcquillan6323 I know what it's like my 4 year old daughter is honestly a prisoner of her own emotions most of the time and let's face it out emotions are probably the most difficult thing we learn to manage in life, again thank you for sharing your moment and I'd like to recommend another song that may help and I've no doubt you've heard it but Bob Marley's "three little birds" is also timeless and encouraging and it catches the ears of most children it has a fun and peaceful tempo

@@adamrichardson8315 that song has such a sentimental meaning for me too. He was dancing to mr Marley since he was no age. I’m sure your daughter is the apple of your eye too. I was very lost for a long time when I hadn’t got the kids around me and I was in such a low that I had awful things going through my head. I stuck my headphones on and set it to shuffle and the first song that came on was three little birds. 🖤

@@berniemcquillan6323 wow as I said I figured you'd no doubt heard it before but I was merely guessing with no context which is just a testament to how powerful harmony can be, I myself had "heard" three little birds countless times but I hadn't actually "listened" to it until my wife and daughters mother died of an overdose and was also lost and in a dark place as well and that's when I listened to it for the first time and it was truly a spiritual experience

Wonder how many people have watched this multiple times? I have lost count. And I love that Willie is hanging back and letting Shania's voice shine! Such a gentleman and I don't even know him.

Nobody, NOBODY sings duets like Willie. He doesn't walk over the other artist, he adds to, enhances.

Life as hard back then, dealt with drugs, a mistress and a son by them, 6 weeks before our daughter was born! He passed in 2005! I met someone, spent 22 years together! He;s been gone 5 years! I live 5 minutes from daughter and granddaughter!

My God, her voice when hanging on notes is like silver brook water sliding over stones. Goes all through me. THANK YOU FOR THE MEMS WILLY.

What I love about this.... is Shania's complete control and the fact she doesnt feel the need to add abunch of extra runs like newer singers do.... just sing the melody and enjoy the melody the way the original composer made it....... shania is and always will be my favourite singer, not just cuz she's ojibway like me but also because her voice is one of a kind and she is one of the most gracious and humble celebrities out there....

@@barbaracreel2777 I agree. Can’t think of any that reach back that far. Kris Kristofferson maybe approaches... but not the singer Willie is. Writing.... both are great... A slight nod to Kris. And Kris will be 86 in May. Saw Ray Price the year he died in 2013.... for some reason he never got his due. Yup, Willie is probably the last connection to all time greats.

My dad used to watch this video and say it was the most beautiful thing he ever heard. Sometimes he cried. Soon it will be four years ago he died.

I saw this for the first time 20 years ago when i was in jail. Newark Ohio. I had to get up and walk away bc my dad was such a huge fan of Willie and i started crying. Crying in jail isnt a good look

Willie is so accommodating- He makes everyone else look great and allows them the spotlight. You see it over and over with this gentleman.

I listen to this often. Shania is clearly happy to be singing with Willie. She has a beautiful voice. And to all the haters, please remember that Willie CAN play and sing and write and act. He has always supported fellow artists and, yes, he marches to his own drummer. We are very lucky to have him still with us.

I Concur with Everything Carolyn McCloskey has said. I have yet to see Shania Twaine But Have seen Willie Nelson who co stared with Packie Byrne and Bonnie Shaljean. When I was in the pub trade in my local town. They were BRILLIANT. The show was EXCEPTIONAL

Actually, it was really ruined by his guitar. If you were playing the guitar or guitar-alike instrument, you could easily spot, and be distracted and irritated by his inability to play with the rythme, and the solo was... funny. I love Willie but here he is only a shadow of himself. I can't enjoy this one, even being as high as he always is 🤣

This would surprise some people-:) I’m 67 years old and I love music, however, I have narrow focus of the songs I like. I’ve only recently been listening to Willie Nelson. He’s great, his guitar is heavy, deep & sharp. As a singer and writer it defies my comprehension

every time I heard Willie Nelson sing I forget the time , I forget everything , his voice is out of this Earth.

That old guitar has seen more flames than the 88 million coming off of Willie's joints! GOD BLESS them both.

Beautiful to see how they both respect eachother and allow the other person to shine just as much so they could lay their heart and soul in the song itself. Willie for sure held back here and gave shania her moment singing but she gave him his moments when he played his guitar. Great artists
