Willie Jackson on the election result and being one of the last working class MPs
Willie Jackson is back in. He reflects on the waka-jumping history of Māori MPs including his own challenge as a Mana Motuhake/Alliance Party candidate back in the day up against Labour’s Nanaia Mahuta. Willie shares the challenges as a Cabinet Minister.

Yes, the country has had enough of Labour. I'm a Labour supporter myself but the way the party was not unified, also not to mention how the embarrassing actions done by certain party members the past year had unfortunately tarnished its reputation. Made it hard for Labour to ever redeem itself. Happy for Te Pati Maori though.
Willie Jackson very average politician
The Team Willie ? NZ heard all that crap . They only Team doing well is the 120 low level politicians. Not to mention the thousands of hanger ons . You had no eyes or ears . Just self serving
And there support gangs couldn't run a piss up in brewery
Our people and our country have well and truly had enough of you Willy J... you never did enough in one direction and far too much in another direction that has brought a lot of division and harm to our country... you will not be forgiven for it.

@@sox7784 A very wise post!
The Maori caucus turned into a joke over the last five years. Terrible picks.
Didn't talk to the protesters like a coward
Why is Tough questions not being asked?
They promised drastic change and delivered bugger all, at least National are honest i.e. promise little and deliver little
Even though you are the least qualified you certainly were a great speaker and supporter of Labour and that's all that mattered. Gosh it is not often you see you two on the same program together. Very Nice
Willy from South Auckland, was never voted in, in on the list and back of Labour, his best mate is Tamahere so that should tell you about his on going agenda.

Agree. An embarrassment to Maori and a big perpetrator of the racial separatist co-governance.
What a dork in it for him
It sounds like they are talking about a sports event, better salaries though
That's right Willie the country had enough, and voted so, Its called New Zealand Aotearoa is the North Island according to Maori historical meaning, and as a New Zealander which covers both Islands with many different Nationalities and cultures, its about time you and your Maori fellow activists get on the bus and take a ride to a prosperous country undivided by who was supposedly here first and get on with it, or get on your Waka and go back to Waikiki
Kiwis voted!
It is good to see NZ being divided by race
Who is he???what has he done for Māori??
Sounds like he's going to jump off the sinking ship.
The greens went up...don't blame them

Polled at 14% and finished will what 10%
Academic qualifications aren't everything. University of life more important I would think. Hold your head high Willie, you did far better than many those "degree" pollies.
Still Labour and stillnalot of support. People believed the lies from the Nats. We will how that rolls.
You were not transparent enough and should of been upfront on issues wasted your majority 😅
1:36 "It's been a disaster for Māori, but we've still got the biggest Māori caucus". When he says that, I hear "we can represent you, just not right now". He can acknowledge that voters are sick of Labour and that this was reflected in the outcome of this election - I can respect that - but, in all of this, there is still an irritating lack of reflection from Willie on why things went wrong here.

Exactly, co-governance is one of the most racially divisive agendas this Labour-Green government has pushed.
Stumbling in ohhhh stumbling in
When he was back stumbling in
NZ has a habit of getting rid of the present lot when they under perform and under delivered. Or some policies really upset them. Salute to all N Zealanders for being smarter than this lot. We will do the same again to National, Green, Te Pati Maori when they fall short in years ahead.
Thats show ya willie . Ya went out on limb for maori . Then maori pulled the chain saw out and voted you out. What that tell ya about trust willie?.
Is that why maori lost the election. Too many, Yes?
Yes willie…maori always want more money….thats the problem😂😂😂
