No. He is a great wrestler! That's a fact. But, not every great wrestler can be champion. Think about it.
It isn't until you're older that you really, really learn to appreciate and love Lord Regal.

I could listen to Regal read a cookbook and still be entertained. He has such a lovely voice.
I was SO STOKED when Regal went to AEW. I wish that run had not ended so soon. He should have been made the on-screen AEW commissioner.

Regal looks like he's in his Commissioner's office.
Jericho refers to it as 'dropping in' to the character. It's a skill he really honed when he was doing Improv with the groundlings after he left WWE the first time.
Regal is so awesome. He was a huge loss for AEW

When 2 characters dont get along, it takes 2 great story tellers to convince us, the fans, that they would rather chew their own eyeballs out than have dinner together. Jericho and Regal are the 2 great story tellers of our time in the pro werstling business.

It's weird- Wrestler who are best friends on camera did not like each other backstage and those 2 who get along very well, off air, can't stand each other as characters. But I say I rather have it the 2nd way. Always hurts you inside, as a fan, if you hear that wrestler you really like don't like each other for real.

He was like a broken record on repeat there. We understood what he meant the first time he said it, but he seemed to be able to keep it going for over two minutes. Haha

It was his podcast, that he had to stop doing after leaving AEW and going back to WWE. It then became Dax Harwood's podcast, and the KZread channel itself got sold to the Premier Streaming Network (which I think is Freddie Prinze's stream platform).
Yeah I think it's that same kind of thing back in the day with Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels.
I ask that question a lot why wasn't William Regal world champion? They let a lesser wrestler HHH be the champ. Regal is 10 × the wrestler
