Get Him To Commit Before Sleeping Together (The Dating Vow)
Have you ever heard the saying: Women are the gatekeepers of sex, and men are the gatekeepers of commitment?
The "Dating VOW" Before Sleeping Together
I ___________________ agree to explore the process of getting to know you with the intent to declare something serious in the next 3 to 6 months.
I ___________________ agree to be monogamous sexual while we have regular sex together
I ___________________ agree to not actively seek to meet/date others while we are in this dating process (include taking down dating profile)
I ___________________ agree to speak up if this isn't working for me vs. pulling back, ghosting or disappearing
I __________________ agree to invest regular time in this process of getting to know you which looks like this ______________
90% of men will bail on this because thousands of women will have sex without any commitment/agreement whatsoever. If all women are banned together (going forward), this will change how men treat/view sex, but in the meantime, if he does agree, you have a better chance of commitment than without it.

Your words are very pertinent to me right now. Thank you- just what I needed to hear! I am so happy for you and your girlfriend- I know you have been wanting this and you have manifested it- you’ve done that self reflection and created a wonderful life. Thank you for being a role model and living/practicing what you say!! Best wishes, Jonathan!!

Long distance is somewhat hard. My guy had to go to Sweden for work after we met. It has been 2yrs and we have talked about marriage when he returns. I hope by the time he comes back, all of that is still there! We talk daily, and all feels well, but I'm getting frustrated that he isn't back yet. I understand the job, he wants to retire. I support that but I want to get busy living.....BIG BIG HUGGS Jonathan ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

I wouldn’t consider your dynamic a real long distance relationship because you have met in person and went on many dates and felt in-person chemistry from the very beginning. You guys weren’t only seeing each other through the phone. Also, it’s a wonderful thing that your girlfriend wants to move to your city! That means it was always meant to be. I feel so happy for you as if you were my uncle or teacher. You deserve to be happy, and to prove that your methods are healthy and do work, lol. And you will ALWAYS be relevant, Jonathan! You are an absolute gem. Everything you are and teach is golden. Age is a number, youth is a mentality!

I've been in a long distance relationship for 18 months. Met him in 1995, we wrote letters and called on the phone for 3 years before internet, then it fizzled out. We were young. We reconnected 18 months ago but, alas, still long distance. My kids are grown up, his are small so he won't be able to move. We have never been physically intimate but are such good friends that it's painful to be away from him. We can talk for hours on the phone and time flies by. Hoping for a happy ending in a year or two.

Ladies look for old fashioned maybe older man. Someone who takes time off to be with you. Someone who tells you they love you. He trusts you and believes in you and tells you so and visa versa. You have something in common. Opposites do not attract really. You need each other and your useful to each other means you do things for the other person. You give each other Goose Bumps! You need to be together and phone is only a tool to check in.

The “have to make it work” and “failure is not an option” is what keeps people in abusive relationships!! It should NEVER be idolized ever again. Leaving a situation that is corrosive is the strongest and most honorable thing to do, there is no glory in accepting suffering and allowing the children to see their parents be miserable, tortured, and disrespected on the daily. Especially because the kids will always subconsciously keep attracting abusers until they finally figure out the patterns and heal, but that often happens too late, and might never happen.

really interesting topic. I don't think women bond over the phone either. The phone chats mostly occur at home so there's no reason for a woman to get dressed up and go out at night or during the day. If there's a huge time difference there's a difference in energy levels during chats. Also conversations about relocation or when to catch up naturally come up earlier than if you lived closer because naturally people want to see each other.

Hi! I must say I agree with about 90% of your message. Men will build a connection on the phone when they have to. I have just recently found myself in this exact situation. He found me on Facebook, I responded & we have been chatting everyday for hours through texting for about 3 weeks. Now he is in the Military & currently deployed, but will be back in Florida in September. We have discussed everything & I mean everything. We have already committed to marriage very soon after he gets back. He has been engaged before so he knows what it is to be in love. Never married for me. However, I know what I want & he fits that mold. This isn't us being desperate or settling, but truly finding what we want in one another. We have sent pics, but never video chat & we are both on the same page. There is absolutely nothing left to do, but meet & get married. So YES it can work if you have done all the steps that you mentioned.

What if a relationship doesn't start off Long distance or online, do you think it has a better chance of succeeding? I met my boyfriend through his twin sister and we lived close to eachother for the first 2 years of our relationship until I decided I needed to move back to my home state about a year ago. However I agree that meeting online, especially with someone who Ives out of the country that it can get kind of weird. Especially if it goes on for more than 6 mo ths without meeting in person. I'm not saying my LDR is any better or has not had its challenges but I think it's made a difference because of how it started off.

I met a man 3 days ago on the POF dating site and he let me know first that he is his surgeon working in Ukraine. And and so we've been chatting for a few days and he's very intentional with his belief that we are going to make this work out. But I feel love bombed and it's uncomfortable. Should I wait and see or just wait for him to come back and me in person before I make any decisions about the future?

My ex and I were 5 hours apart once we started dating and traveled to meet each other. 2 months into our relationship, his company had to close down their location and now have him traveling for his job in addition to doing his PhD. Due to this he broke off the relationship with reasoning of I can't bear the pressure and thought of everything and I can't handle this. I offered anything I could think of to try to make this work. But he said that this will be too much for him to handle, not being able to tend to our relationship. Should I just move on, or is there anything that I could offer? We just had such a good connection and hit it off from day 1.... So torn... idk what to do...

What if your girlfriend doesn't stay "chill". It was 3 years before my boyfriend saw the unchill side of me because I was triggered by something he did ( no, not cheating or anything like that) that reminded me of something that had happened in a prior bad relationship. Anyway my point is how will you react if and when that time comes.

Jonathan I’ve heard you speak against sitting in your feminine energy but honestly, I’m almost certain that that’s exactly what attracted you to your girlfriend. A woman being in her feminine energy is not about sitting still and “hoping a man finds you and does all the work”. It’s more about being in touch with your feelings and being open to receive. Embracing all the things that are beautiful and unique about you and knowing what you are worthy of. I’m pretty sure that if your girlfriend was chasing you, leading the relationship, and acting out of desperation it would have turned you off. She is beautiful and appears to be a feminine woman. The teaching on how to be feminine was never meant for men anyway because what happens is that you (men) end up speaking against something that actually DOES work on you lol… You and your girlfriend work because you are polar opposites- she is feminine and you are masculine. It wouldn’t even feel right to you if she was a masculine woman. You all would clash. #JustSomethingToThinkAbout

"It’s more about being in touch with your feelings and being open to receive. Embracing all the things that are beautiful and unique about you and knowing what you are worthy of. " Why is feminine energy? Why can't men do this as well? BTW, if you ask my g/f she would tell you that I am more of the emotionally expressive one in the relationship, and we even joked she acted like a man, in the beginning, being less open/walled up. In fact, she even chased (made more effort) from the start as well. This is why I don't like the rhetoric because being a good healthy human is about both giving/receiving, and a lot of the feminine energy teachings set women up to expect more from the man, and given how f'd up men are... it's not going to work as they intend (IMHO).

  • @JonathonAslay

One more thing, I feel like we work because of alignment vs. polarity. We have so much in common and we feel equally matched in our temperament and where we have a weakness, the other person has a strength which allows for balance because our egos don't judge the other person for the so-called (weakness) differences. Now, you might be looking at her femininity and yes, she acts like a feminine woman and yet she is strong in character and speaks up if something is on her mind (which is neither feminine nor masculine). And this is why I think we get along so well.

Jonathon I watch you everyday and have my friends of both sexes. I love the fuck word and don't ever confirm to the eminions. I do take your therapy words and let it sink in. My friends say I always pick the guys who are emotional unavailable. I never needed a man to take care of me but for some reason I want to care for them. No so much money . But cooking and other things but on the other I'm a very hyper person before I got sick. I have felt feelings for guys that Ive just met and said hey this is weird but this is how I'm feeling. Of course I don't get the looks I think that deserves and there you are I'm embarrassed and confused. Most if my relationships were just that relationships. Now that I'm older and a little slower I've started dating. Just to see whats out there. A friend that I haven't seen in 30 years was one of first ones. This dude would actually make my whole body tremple

I'm not sure if you'd say the person and I that I've been talking too are dating however you can tell/see/notice that we have a romantic relationship. My question to you is why would he have told only his friends about myself but, why would he tell his parents about me and what I got him for father's day? He told me that his ex wife got him these 3 frogs on top of one another and it made him feel pretty shitty bc he didn't feel appreciated. Where as my kids and myself not only got him a travel mug that says it's not a dad bod it's a father figure we also got him a shirt with the same saying and his face lite up and he had the biggest smile on his face. He even told his parents friends and co workers, his parents were in shock. I haven't met his parents or his friends yet. However, I have met a few of his co workers recently. Is this a good sign?

  • @JonathonAslay

    @JonathonAslay

Long-distance relationships require lots of face-to-face time to have any chance of working. Plus, there needs to be a real plan in place to shorten the distance. So video-only calls without face-to-face rarely work out.
