10:10 I love this!! I think people psych themselves out so much with this. I think in most cases God is so much more subtle. It’s a step-by-step thing. He’s not like “And here is your spouse!!” It’s the little yeses that lead up to the bigger ones. 14:59 Another awesome point! I’ve had the same exact experience with long distance. He can’t see my facial expressions on the phone. He only knows what I tell him. It forces us to not rely on the “mind reading.” Lol.

the essense is about cultivating your true identity in Christ, and living the life the best you can, with or without long distance. i learned a hard lession not to "idolize" your partner, long distance is definitely a good way to offer your emotions and struggles and longings to the Lord. the other peson is far away, there is nothing you can do about it at the moment.

The body language and facial cues thing resonates strong with me. I struggled with no body language or facial expression cues for months as we got to know each other by text and phone. Video calls were clumsy and weren’t our preference early on and I don’t know how much they would have helped. What the struggle did for me though was we really needed to voice our misunderstandings and clarify things without benefit of body language, facial cues, hugs, holding hands, all of that. Now we can get through misunderstanding and hurt feelings that arise with much more considerate and sensitive talk. But not being physically present with the other is a huge thing. Interestingly Covid and the wearing of masks taught me how much I rely on reading lips. I struggle if I don’t see the other person’s mouth forming the words.

I don't know how people don't get scared. I'm scared of meeting someone too far away.

I had to stop listening because every other word was “like.” Like, you know, like I like to like, like. Why do people speak in such a way?!?

It is way overused. It’s just a habit. The problem is she’s presenting something and if she were a professional public speaker, she’d get a solid F for her presentation. But these are just KZreadrs so I take it with a grain of salt. I am trying to get past all the “likes” and listen to the content.

Also, from what I heard this man had met her in person, and got to view her for about three weeks before the ocean separated them. So he got an inkling of who she was and talk to her in person. I’m dealing with the situation where the guy is two hours away and Have not met him. Had to navigate that if I want do an an LDR.

Clearly, she’s not from the south. I’m pretty sure they were saying she was or they were in Europe somewhere when they met. She is not from the south.@@annemarieelizabethrosevolo4366
