RE5Make needs to happen. We need a safe haven/typewriting to keep with the tradition. We need to see the night stage and zombies that were cut and Jill in a capsule at TRICELL instead of being brain-washed. Bring back the horror but still retain the co-op. Have Rebecca and Barry make an appearance. Capcom needs to use more of the cut content in the remake.

They can have a separate ways similar to RE4, but Chris has his own campaign which acts as some the scrapped plot, and the other Sheva when she was with the Majini. They can have two Sheva, one for the BSAA and other for the Majini. Kind of like having multiple Alice clonesin resident evil extinction and two Ada wongs in RE6, if that can work. I also think I remember reading that Chris eyes react to certain situations.

Resident evil 5 is what got me into the Resident Evil franchise, the first game I ever played back in 2011. A remake for that game would be amazing

They need to get rid of the co-op and do it like the original vision. Where Chris is alone and the game takes place mostly during the day where high contrast scene would blind the player constantly.

That's why I would like a modern remake of the game in 3rd person. As for Code Veronica, I don't want to impose this angle on me again, I will wait for a remake.

Ofc we gonna get a RE5 Remake they fully modeled Wesker and it costs a lot of money , they would not throw away RE5 . We even have some mechanics similiar to RE5 in RE 4 like the double door opening . And the Factory area looks soo similiar too they might reuse that too

I played the Heck out of RE5 and loved it! The unlimited ammo made it even better finding and shooting the blue plates for more money.

They better make 5 next!! it’s my favourite in the series!!

But they should do a RE 1 remake so they can introduce Chris more and Wesker.

It has a lot of important setup for 5. The Redfield sibling reunion needs to happen, plus Wesker attacking Claire and then giving Chris the beating of his life makes it so much more personal for him, and raises the tension for RE5.

Love Re5 by far my favorite re game. But I feel like they should reintroduce Wesker, before they take the full leap into just throwing Re5 remake out there. Remaking Code Veronica would be their best choice imo. And Veronica is probably the only re game I've never played (I've seen gameplay tho). That being said though I would love to see an Re5 remake either way.

We need a code of veronica, dino crisis or devil may cry remake first cause those games will benefit the most from it. Also people who didn't get a chance to play those games earlier will get a chance to play these gems now. All those games I mentioned are classics they just need to be reintroduced to a new audience with modern graphics and gameplay.

I honestly truly believe they need to remake CV:X prior to 5. You bring back Claire, since she was in RE2R , people already love her. You keep this hype going and also remake a game which was a letdown for a lot of people. You start off the rivalry between Chris and Wesker right. Hype it with CV:X, get people a more in depth look at their history in a modern game. Gives 5 so much more meaning, and not just remake 5 and kill off Wesker immediately. Plus you have Jill already hyped up cause of RE3R. You switch up the story a little. Fix plot holes. Boom you got urself a big ass hype train, especially riding off the masterpiece of RE4R. All leading to a meaningful Big Bang ending for Wesker in the RE5R.

We desperately need a 5 with better graphics and maybe some improved story aspects

I would love to see this game remade, but I feel it would need an overhaul at least story and plot wise. Not a crazy overhaul, but tone back a lot of the action sequences to keep in line with not only the remakes we’ve received but with 7 and 8 as well

Resident Evil 5 makes no sense unless you played Codename: Veronica first. It's CN:V that bridges RE2 and RE5. It is the game that introduces the new Wesker and his powers. It is the game that sets up the WeskerChris vendetta. It is the game that fleshes out and concludes the Umbrella arc. RE5 is more of a sequel to CN:V than it is a sequel to RE4. If you come into this from the remakes, and didn't play CN:V before RE5, then you get a big hole in your story arc. CN:V is the game that needs a remake the most. The graphics, gameplay, storytelling and story needs to be remade, but the CONTENT in CN:V is awesome. Not only are the scenery some of the best and creepiest in the franchise, it was one of the strongest storylines in the series.

I would just prefer another title in the franchise. But, there was a lot they could have done better with Res:5

I know many people like myself would like code veronica, 1, and 0 get a remake before 5 and 6, but considering capcom skipped code veronica and went straight to 4, they might go forward by remaking the main numbered titles before they go back

I would love this and I would love it more of they KEEP THE MULTIPLAYER, I will be highly disappointed if they remove the multiplayer because it is much more enjoyable to experience the game with a friend

I think the next best thing for them to remake would be the very first game, I know it’s current remake is arguably the best RE out there and of course there will have to be cut content but if you want an RE 5 remake you’d sort of have to remake 1 and code Veronica after just to big up Wesker as a huge villain and besides there’s a couple bosses in the original resident evil remake that don’t really need to be there like the giant spider in the caves and the slightly harder dog when blowing the whistle. Would also be really cool if eventually they got every mainline game on the new RE engine plus code Veronica.

It make more sense that all star members and swat team are send there cuz sending only two people to capture umbrella boss doesnt make any sense. This way they can add Barry and Rebecca in the game. And even better add nemesis in the mansion to hunt star after Spencer aware of their arrival. They can make nemesis really scarier this time. Chris is partner with Jill or Rebecca would be better cuz shava barely have a impact on the story so she should play supporting role like josh or replace him completly. After Jill's sacrifices, Chris ask Rebecca to figure to a way to defeat Wesker. Shava serves a guide when going to native jungle to look ingredients to synthesize the poison to defeat Wesker. fighting zombie in a jungle would be a great setting in horror game. Having skill set like outbreak also great. Jill locksmith, Rebbeca medic, Barry blacksmith, Chris strong melee.

It'd make a lot of sense and could set up the story better behind chris's next appearance in the mainline game. Seems resident evil 9 will have a lot to do with chris judging off of how RE village ended

Code Veronica is really the one that needs to happen next. But it’s hard to argue how incredible an RE5 remake has the potential to be especially given how well combat was handled in RE4make. But I think I really interesting point brought up here is well now they did 4…we where eventually going to get to this point again where we could take this series in the insanity action direction again right after 4. But even further down the line than that… if resident evil 5 gets remade next, are we seriously going to remake resident evil 6? And then get a survival horror clean slate again and remake Re7? I feel the best possible route to not go that polarizing action path again would be to remake code Veronica. And maybe possibly zero? And THEN we can do RE5 Or better yet let’s get a Dino crisis remake, which was a survival horror game. Or hell even see clock tower make a come back also one of capcom’s Survival horror IP’s they could bring back

Resident Evil 4 didn't need a remake. Resident Evil 5 doesn't need a remake. But since they remade 4 may as well remake 5. Resi 5 is actually my favorite 🤷 I love the characters. Love the gameplay. Love the bosses. Love the pacing.

The problem I see is that enemies that drop ammo takes the survival horror away but only RE4 can get away with it since its single player, not co op.

A RE5 remake would be a wrong move imo. I liked - not loved - RE5 when it was first released, but it was the point when the series abandoned the survival horror factor entirely, it was firmly linear with no backtracking at all, and it capitalized on the co-op trend style of gameplay of that time (single player in RE5 was a utter slog) It was a rock solid action game but a terrible RE title. And don’t forget, the reason WHY Capcom returned to horror with RE7, was because the direction that titles like RE5 & 6 that polarized the fanbase - even though they were bestsellers. What are they gonna do, go full cycle again? If they do plan another remake, the safest bet would be RE1. Again. It’s a legacy title, loved by every fan still to this day, the HD rerelease of the 2002 remake topped the digital charts in 2015 and was the sole reason why RE2 remake got greenlit fir development that same year. There’s still room for extra improvement (modern gameplay notwithstanding) And fans will still eat it up.

If resident evil 2 through 4 got remade then 5 and 6 will to. I think what they should've done is remake 2 through 6 and release them all in some kind of a pack or something. Yes it cost a fortune but it be worth it. 🤣

I'm happy for a re5 remake but I would prefer the co op be optional than forced if they can make it work without making SHIVA sucking or just allow you to choose between her and chris and make two campaigns.

Remake 1 and zero with the over the shoulder controls. Do code Veronica. Completely rehaul 5 and 6. Make them a buy more similar to re4. Bit more horror with the action. They might as well keep it going and modernize the whole series, they have pretty much nothing but success. As long as they keep the quality up and make smart changes I say why not. Have a cohesive game series instead of one that is so broken up and convoluted . Thanks Alex !

Code Veronica needs to happen before RE5, because it’s important to the story of 5. Code Veronica beings Wesker back from the dead. They could build more tension between Wesker and Chris in Code Veronica that leads to RE5. RE1, Code Veronica, and RE5 is the Chris, and Wesker trilogy.

Is going to happen. Cause CAPCOM re-model of CHRIS looks amazing, and they released a DLC. Soooo no company goes to this trouble to waste this character.

Both Chris and Wesker are also in RE1. Not only that but that's the game where they are introduced into the RE universe. If they are planing to reuse those models, it could easily be for a brand new RE1 Remake in the RE engine.

Personal opinion - re5 still holds up, I still occasionally wipe my saves to complete the game again. As for people going about Sheva: I really liked her character and would actually like if they did the same thing they did in RE2 - just give her a separate campaign. Give her her own personal stake in the conflict (beyond "I want to protect my people") and flesh out her character a bit.

I think they should. Not the next one though. I think code Veronica and 1 should be done first. I would rather have 0 remade before 5. All of those really need the remake treatment. And then remake 5 and 6. That would make the entire series modern. I wouldn't be mad if they did revelations 1 and 2 as well.

It would be really interesting how a 6 remake would go. I wouldn't even know where to begin with a wish list, maybe throw out all other campaigns and just make a Re6Remake with Sherry and Jake.

Have the story play out in the order it actually goes and then make it so you decide to play one storyline or another after you've finished your first playthrough as bonus content

@DropoutJerome they weren't that bad they just dished out info in a weird order because of the way you had to play it. And I think every campaign was just around 5 or so hours if I'm remembering correctly so wouldn't be too much longer than a normal playthrough of like re4 when doing everything. There's just some story stuff they could clean up like ditching the chris amnesia thing for example

They need to remake 5 but cut a bunch of shit and redo the el gigabyte fight to be on foot. I like the evolved plans idea, but let Chris be there when the breakout starts and be swept up in the chaos, and finding Jill in the process. Then weaker attacks all of them, josh makes the save and gets kill out of there, Sheva and Chris follow wesker through all manner of resident evil monsters maybe even throw in Ada to build the Ada Chris rivalry in re6 remake (but it’s actually her virus clone shhhh real Ada is working behind the scenes) culminating in a battle with wesker as a uroboros tyrant of some sort. It would be epic and they can make it very scary and still keep the action. Go for body horror maybe instead of traditional stuff like jump scares and also focus more on the outbreak. We should be seeing townspeople being forced to take the plaga 2 and then getting mobbbed

If they do a RE5 remake then it needs to be a complete reboot. Now don't get me wrong, I've always said that RE5 is a good co-op game. I mean some of my best PS3 memories is playing RE5. But it's just not a good Resident Evil game. And I'm not talking about rebooting the characters Chris and Sheva but the type of game it is. And it needs to be survival horror. Now personally I consider myself a traditional RE fan as in RE0 to Code Veronica. Now I'm not really a big or super fan of RE4 either. I like Resident Evil 4 for what it is but I put it in the same vein with RE5 as in it's a good game but to me not a good RE game. It's to action driven. definitely was a departure from the games before it. Whether that's a good thing or bad, that's always debatable. But I like personally RE games to be more grounded. So of course I would prefer if it was more on the likes of RE2 remake style. But there should be a understanding that there's traditional RE fans like me but also there are a lot of fans of RE4 style. So question becomes how can you make both types of fans happy? The good thing with the setting of RE5 mostly takes place outside with towns and stuff, it allows them to do it like and have a balance with both types of RE games like they did with RE8 village. So if I was doing RE5 remake, I would do it like RE8 village. Because RE8 actually has elements and a good balance of both traditional RE games and RE4. But also, with RE5 remake, they should definitely do it like RE2 where you can play 2 characters with their separate stories or their side of the same story. Because that would allow you to still play as Chris and Sheva with out it being Co-op. Even though they might play in the same area for the most part, they still could have like RE2 with exclusive areas or places where you can only get to as Chris and the others as Sheva.

I never played Re4 or 5 back in the day because I didn't like the direction the series was going at the time, but now playing REmake 4 and Capcom returning the series to its survival horror roots I would like to see RE5 get the same treatment.
