Will UConn Go BACK TO BACK?! + Duke’s Future with Cooper Flagg | College GameDay Podcast

Спорт

Pete Thamel and Jeff Borzello discuss the teams that have just landed in the Final Four spots in the Men’s NCAA tournament - specifically how a missed free throw by Virginia in the ACC tournament impacted NC State’s trajectory to the Final Four. They also talk about UConn’s evisceration of Illinois, the No. 2 offense in the country. And although Duke lost to NC State, Borzello notes that the Blue Devils’ future is bright as they are looking forward to Cooper Flagg, the number one college recruit in the country who has committed to their program for the following season. Finally, the two round out the pod with a preview of the Final Four games and who they think will be the NCAA tournament champion.

It wasn't the "free throw lines" that were not measured correctly in the NC St. vs Texas women's game, it was the three-point lines, come on guys get it together!

With Clingan potentially leaving for the NBA we can use another seven footer like Wolf and he’s a really good 3pt shooter.

All I hear is how great this team is, LOL. They played one 3 seed last year i n Gonzaga who are always overrated, then got two 5 seeds in the final 4. This year they played one 3 seed. So, not having played a 1 or 2 seed in the last two years is very, very fortunate. Now they get another 4 seed. They lost by 15 to Seton Hall this year, by 19 to Creighton, and to Kansas. They play in the Big East which is probably the fourth or 5th best conference and they play a bunch of OOC teams which are bad, a few good ones, but mostly bad. Yes, they have beat a string of teams, but only three seeds in two years means they have yet to play a top 10 team. Most teas have to play a two seed in their bracket, then some high sides in the final 4. This whole UCONN is so good is far too much drivel. If they played top seeds back, to back, to back. thats a whole different ball game. Its LUCKY that they are facing these low seeds tbh.

Stfu they just beat 2 top 25 teams by 30 and 25 points and Illinois is a top 10 team that had a top 2 offense and they just beat the 4th ranked team in Iowa State but get blown out by UConn

@@MrRondonmon Clingon got hurt in that Seton hall game and this year had the most ranked teams loose to unranked team on the road of all time out of any other season and not to Mention UConn is 9-2 vs the AP top 25 this season with 8 of those wins coming by double digits 🤣😂😂😂

Lol and who cares what seed they play these are all teams that were good enough to make the tournament wether by winning their conference tournament or by the commitee and UConn is blowing them out and guess what you know why they aren’t playing 1 and 2 seeds is because the 1 and 2 seeds are always loosing and then UConn blows out the team that just beat the 1 or 2 seed

Duke and UConn have done great job at developing nba talent. This is not to slight Duke. I have the utmost respect for Duke and coach K. You may not know that for quite a few years UConn had as many or more players in the NBA. Duke definitely developed way more one and does. LOL Uconn could not recruit as many Macdonalds all Americans.Have you ever been to Storrs Ct. in the winter? Duke's incredible ability to recruit great players was born from the 2 back to back nattys. 1991 and 1992. Uconn Duke have been a great rivalry since that time.

Duke is similar to Kentucky. They get top tier recruits. Normally, that leads to deep runs (Kentucky is experiencing a few hiccups lately). But, Duke sometimes has some upperclassmen to go along with the diaper dandies. Probably will be really good next season.
