VFR's, like most Hondas, are ultra reliable irrespective of age, Adam. I have the VFR800X (69 plate) and it has been faultless. However I will be selling it in the spring as I am now concentrating on classic bikes of which I now have two.

I didn't like it. I don't know if it was just that particular one though. It didn't feel stable and the power delivery felt snatchy

If you like it, that is good enough mate, it matters not what others think about looks etc, that is all subjective. As a side note though, when looking at bikes at this pricepoint, you'll get a much better bike privately for the same money, and they should have put some effort into cleaning it too. If you spend £200-£300 getting it cleaned on top of the dealer price, look at what bike you could get privately for that full amount, as it'll be much better bike!

Did you say you were called Gary at the start of this or am I actually losing it? 🤣😂👍 I drove about 100 miles to go check out a yellow Versys last year & then it was tangerine like the 1 you tried & ended up travelling another 2 hours south & bought the ER-6N, which i actually hated!!! 🤬🤣👍 Some I see have said you don't know what you want & that's fine, because there's so, so many to pick from mate! 😎✌️

Actually I never tried a Versys, but from what I heard it is a great bike. I think that getting a 650 or even a 1000 would be great. Just try one first. :) Cheers.

I tried the versys 650 but it was a bit of a disaster. The weather turned really bad the second I left

My Dad loved Kawasakis he had four but that one was yellow 😒 would be pretty visible though.

That the yellow one? I've never ridden one but always fancied one. Could you stretch to newer? 7:33..Booster plug. I think most modern bikes with injection have this issue. My 500x does. It's the Euro emissions thing. Just just get just to feathering the clutch at low revs. 😂

It was yes. I didn't like that particular one. It was a bit too tall. I didnt give it much of a test ride though. I'm going to hold out a while longer.

You should avoid old Kawasakis They are a bag of trouble. The VFR is a reliable bike and completely different to the Himalayan with good weather protection. They don't go wrong and service intervals are long. I had a VFR750 for eight years and hardly spent any money on servicing. I only got rid of it because I lost the left hand lower fairing panel so if you want a cheap 150mph bike with excellent weather protection you could do much worse but you need to act quickly if you want something and go see the bike immediately because if it's a good one it will be snapped up. You could get a Fazer 1000 for around the £2200 mark but be careful because they are rocket ships. A 2005 Honda Hornet might suit you.

I test rode the versys 650 and wasn't overly impressed. I had a fazer 600 and couldn't gel with it. I have considered the Hornet. I had a Bandit 600N that I loved

@@EpicAdamMotovlogs If you're like me, once you've had a particular bike you don't want the same one again. It's like going back in time, although saying that I did have a naked bandit about 18 years ago and now have a 2002 faired 600S, plus a CB650F and recently a 73 plate Himalayan so won't be buying any more. A tourer, sports bike and an off-roader is all I ever need.

Which Versys, the 650 or the 1000? I have a soft spot for the old VFR so that's what I'd want although it would probably not be suitable for my old decrepit body 😢

It was the 650. It might have just been that particular one, but it felt like I had to stop it from constantly turning left & the throttle was snappy

I still think you're kidding yourself, you should just move the Himalayan on and get an adventure bike with more oomph.
