I'm handicapped and housebound. Watching your videos is a real treat because your instrumental driving montages make me feel like I am out on the road again. Watching you restore these old gals and getting them back on the road is amusing, informational, educational, and down right pure entertainment better than anything I see on the networks nowadays. Keep up these wonderful videos for years to come. I do and I know lots of your other fans love you as well! Thank you VGG!!!!
Lending out vehicles so other people can enjoy the tour is unbelievable man you are a class act..I have so much respect for you it's crazy..🤘

Hey Derek my husband said that when you were putting oil in the rear end that it looks like from the video that the U Joint bolt looked loose. Not sure if it is but he wanted you to know. We watch you faithfully. And we also live in Alabam. Keep up the good things you do.

The amount of things Derek can mentally identify as a problem that I chalk up to “it’s an old rig” is astounding.

Yes he is extremely conscientious and it serves him well i think.
I mean really, who else becomes so well known and famous among the car culture that he lends his vehicles to others to enjoy on the journey that he and his family are part of? People like this just don't seem to exist anymore. This is what we should all try to aspire to. Not a single ounce of self centered aspiration. Then, planning to expand that experience to others in the future without a moment of reservation. Derrick is the epitome of a giving and down to earth guy. Congrats to all of his success. More people should try to share the same outlook on life as him. I raise a glass this Father's day to him, cheers.

Some say why does VGG have such a huge following. Well watch just one video and you will see. Derick and Jessica and their kids are the real deal and so genuine. You can count on them like you can count on the sun coming up in the morning. Down to earth and always giving back in soooooo many ways. Love you guys keep it up!!!!!!
Watching this channel revived my motivation to work on couple my old rigs. One day shootin the shit with derek and family would be awesome. Thanks for the great content!
Happy fathers day to Derrick and the other Father's out there. I hope you guys have a great one :) Derrick you guys do a great deal for this sport. You are one of the people who convinced me to do my own channel. Unfortunatly my health hit a wall and well, now im fighting to keep a house while healing from a heart rebuild and an aneurysm. But I still get to watch you and read the comments. Fills my days pretty good. Thank you so much for everything you and your family do for us. And I'm so happy someone out there understands that we need to help these kids see the good things in life.
Derek, A grand national has been on my bucket list, most of my life. I am right there, with you.
I was so disappointed that you and some of the other folks I watch regularly weren't in Nashville. It would have been nice to thank you personally for the hours of entertainment you and you family has given me and mine. I hope you have a great father's day.
My favourite part will always be the driving sequences, they're totally mesmerising. Hope everything stays together for the rest of the Tour.

Honestly if the only problem is a rear diff that's not bad. Unfortunately the fluid level probably got over looked and just didn't get checked. Shit happens, and on a rushed build like that if that's the only really big problem then I'll take it. Hopefully it all works out OK!
I love Derrick calls the pilots crazy when he routinely drags beaters that haven’t seen a road for 30 years with no floors and brakes with tires that are showing cords 3800 miles on the highway doing 70mph.

Hey Derek, me and my dad just went to our first car meet earlier today! I got to sit in 2 cars, a Superformance Cobra, and an mgb racecar. They had everything from american classics, to modern muscle, to jdm, to a DeTomaso Pantera. They even had at least 2 of every generation of corvette except the C4 and the C5. I was honestly really impressed with the diversity, considering it was a tiny show in the back corner of a mall parking lot.
Stay cool and have plenty of cold snacks available. Thanks Derek and family for sharing your time 👋

Fantastic video as always Derek and the family. Taking the little humans with Jessica and yourself gives them the right start in life. Taking us your fans with you is a privilege we thank you for. I wish we had this sort of event in my country/city but we don't have the numbers to make it worth while. I don't own a Classic era car but it is 33 years old and is a survivor. My dad (R.I.P) bought the car from it's 1st owner and it's been in my garage 26 years in the condition is was when he bought it. I look forward to seeing the next videos. Thanks Derek and the family.
That Buick GNX would be nice to have but I've always had my eyes set on getting a 1989 Pontiac Firebird Indy Pace Car that came factory with the same turbocharged V6 that's in those GNX cars. Sure, they made about 1500 of the Firebirds compared to the roughly 500 or so GNX cars that were made but I've just always been a big fan of the 3rd Gen Firebirds and the '89 Indy Pace Car would be a nice one to own.

I'm another guy who bleep bloops before I watch. I scanned the old memory files and don't remember you checking the dif when you put the rear end in. You have slippery stuff in now so you should be able to forget it till you get home. It's a Chevy after all.
Add a vacuum tank to help store up engine vacuum. Cheap and easy and may provide enough extra to keep the booster working.
