The B-52 has never been retired, dude, completely. My dad worked on the Upgrades from the D thru the H version from the early 1960's until 1980's. Now there maybe a J version in the works.

Yeah, great plane. Although is it fair to say a lot of these were retired due to a treaty, not necessarily old age. Good intro though

It's definitely proved itself, installing newer more powerful engines should increase its capacity but surely by now there would have been a replacement designed? A contemporary version could take advantage of some stealth tech, afterburners, higher altitude, and all that shizzle for a 'B62'?

Got to love the BUFF. Here's a fact. Though the aircraft is 159′ long with a crew of five, the Stratofortress does not have a toilet. Crewmen instead use bags which are then disposed of upon return to base.

Would have though it would have been the ideal place to drop some bombs.. all that capacity on no space for a portapotty!

Rolls-Royce F-130 engine thrust will be above 17-18k lbs. Your graphic incorrectly stated 13k. I believe the real numbers will be closer to 20K! Thanks
