I'm from Sudan, thank you for talking about my country, the Army failed to protect the state and the people from the RSF and its allied Arab militia because they're being supplied by countries like the UAE... kinda whished if you talked about how some countries are negatively impacting the peace process in my country beside the multiple peace initiatives that also complicated the matter.

THANK YOU so much for covering this. As a Sudanese i really can't help but get so frustrated over the lack of media coverage for this conflict. This war has been going on for longer than anyone had initially expected and the lives of millions of people including me, have been disrupted and yet most people don't even know there's an ongoing war here lol. Once again i really appreciate you for making this video.

It's crazy how it's not being covered more, but you're not alone. Erdogan is bombing and ethnically cleansing millions of Kurds. Pakistan is nakbahing 2 million Afghanis, and Assad is still killing Syrians. Israel/Palestine has captured the entire world. No Jews, no news, I guess.

Darfur secession will be good given the atrocities. Darfur was an independent state for centuries before 1874.

  • @puraLusa

2 challenges: a) no unity which means potencial infighting post succession and thus a continuum of atrocities (we don't know with certainty how much this is possible) and b) landlocked making it dependant of neighbours who have been cooperating directly or indirectly with the atrocities, thus unreliable independance or potencial fighting of competing countries for its vassalage. Sometimes geography and location makes it 10x harder for a simple solution as is independance.

as a darfuri and sudani, you have failed to understand that the people who want secession are the arab rsf Janjaweed militias. they want to basically carry out a full scale genocide, which they currently are, and if they can have it separate, it will become far too vulnerable for African tribes. their plan is to exterminate africans, which will cause other Africans to leave darfur (just like now and in 2003) because they want the land to be occupied by arabs. Currently, they're bringing in arabs (shuwa and baggara) from Chad, norther nigeria and also niger. Particularly niger, since Mohammed bazzoum (first nigerien president of arab ethnicity) was ousted from power. They want to bring these people to replace the African tribes. With the help of the UAE, they want to build a nation for them, with facilities and services. the main component of the RSF militia are the rizeigat arab tribe. They can be found in chad and sudan primarily and are abut 4 million in size making them superior in size. This tribe hosts the main leaders of not just the RSF like Mohammed hamdan dagalo but also when it was named the Janjaweed, the militia from 2003, its leader was musa hilal (a cousin to hamdan). in 2003, the africans reblled due to the region being the most marginalised, but the truth is the most marginalised group within darfur were the arabs, who are cattle heading nomads. They weren't a nation because they have no homeland. other tribes like the fur and zaghawa do. Now they want to make their land their own. its kinda like the great replacement theory euopeans have but the difference is in darfur its the reality.

Summary of this video The war in Sudan has been ongoing for 7 months. Thousands of deaths and over 2 million people have been displaced. In early November, paramilitary forces targeted and murdered at least 800 Masalit people. An additional 8,000 people have fled to neighboring Chad. The recent violence in Sudan risks splitting the country apart. The video will explore the history of the separatist movement in Darfur. It will discuss the current ethnic violence unfolding in Darfur. The possibility of Darfur succeeding in the future will be considered. Viewers are encouraged to subscribe and ring the bell for notifications. A civil war erupted in Sudan in April, led by the Sudanese armed forces and rapid support forces. The violence quickly spread to other parts of the country, including Darfur. In June, the provincial capital of West Darfur was attacked, displacing non-Arab populations. In July, a mass grave with 87 bodies was found near the city. In early this month, the town of Adata was attacked, resulting in the murder of over 800 Masalit people.

There are no active separatist groups in Darfur, despite the fact that most of what you said is accurate. If they do cecede, it will still be the same population of warring groups and the violence won't stop, so neither the RSF nor the other non Arab groups are looking for separation. In fact there are stronger separatist movements in North and East Sudan as there is a movement there that is arguing that a unified Sudan will always be a failed state.
