I love this. All these self-love gurus out here preaching self- love without understanding self-love is made up of the BEHAVIOURS you subject yourself to. Claiming self- love & living an unhealthy, toxic lifestyle is not self- love!!! Self-love is ACTION!!

One of the most motivational to the point- on point speeches ive heard in my entire life. I listen to this everytime i need a pick me up in life. I love how short and to the point it is. Everyone should save this video in their "motivational" folder.

Definitely, I agree with Will, self discipline=self love, its almost like being your own parent, your conversating with your higher self, a parent wants the best for their child, its our responsibility and choice to listen to those higher voices. Will just gave me an idea, I'm going to start looking at myself from a third person perspective.

He's a 100% right. When you respect yourself and think you're worse it, you start to have a self discipline in all aspects of your life. When you lack discipline in many aspects of your life, you think you're not worse it.

I saw this years ago and I tried explaining it to this chick. She was saying "I love myself so I let myself eat and drink whatever I want. That's more important than being a slave to a diet and what society says I should look like" I'm happy I found this video because now I can share it and stop butchering what Will Smith is tryna say lol

how this only has 60k views is actually criminal. Straight facts. (ive lost 10 feckin stone of fat. i was 26 stone at 26 years old....i now weigh 18 stone, gained 4 in muscle, 6 stone overall lost, but 10 stone of fat gone...in 6 months..., why????i gained some self respect. And it's cos of videos like this. good luck to each and everyone watching this, go achieve what you want, don't be held back, when it gets bad, dark and hard, dig fkin deep, cos you got this

This is actually really inspiring. I hope I can keep this in my heart and act upon it. Recently I've tried to stop smoking, but it's not really working. Growing up being raised very strictly, everything that was not explicitly allowed was forbidden. When I moved out of my parents' place I became the only person ever to allow myself to indulge in any sort of pleasure of which all were forbidden at my parents' place. Now I feel like I'm going to be one of those persons who would take away something that pleases me because it's the reasonable thing to do. But he is right, forgo short-term pleasure for long-term happiness and self respect. Who has more right to decide what is right for me but myself? Who will help me if not myself?

Discipline is the forego immediate pleasure for the exchange of long term-respect. Self -love is when you say to yourself " I love you to much to let you too much to you do that" Self discipline equal self-love. To be happy , you must love yourself. The road to sustained happiness is through disapline of your behavior. -Will Smith
