Rahul was mocked at as pappu. He was called so as to demoralize both the congress and Rahul himself. BJP had never expected that Rahul would become so much matured politically. This was consequent to his padayatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir followed by his yatra from east to west mingling with people and ascertaining their life and its problems. Congress rejuvenation has already started to happen with Rahul's image as a responsible leader and his growing popularity. Rahul's image as a politician is exactly opposite to Modi's. Modi is an excellent speaker. Rahul's is plain and simple and down to earth. People are at ease to interact and share their issues with him. Modi is detached far away from people. Modi is afraid of meeting the press. Rahul is ever ready to meet and field their questions. Rahul confronts their questions with honest replies. Modi never faces any question at all. Modi imposes his will unilaterally. Rahul is a true believer in democracy like his great grand father Nehru. Modi feigns to be a believer in democracy as he has RSS backround which has self proclaimed distaste for democracy.
