In 7 degrees. In my 20x8.5 with one diesel heater and zero insulation on one gallon of diesel I got 3 days at 70 degrees. Chinese diesel heater. AMZ $130. 4 years no problems.

I turned on my mini-split Saturday and set it at 61. It fluctuates between 60 and 65. I checked it this morning with 12 degrees outside. Looking at my chart, it never dropped below 60. These units work great for these campers.

We agree with the 'working outside in inclement weather' (hubby did for years) and done with it (I drove 62 miles one way and back to work myself). Enough driving and living in cold, ice and snow for us! Your home looks wonderful and that gazebo is a great living room!

You look nice and cozy in your gazebo. I might try one of those propane firepits.

I also run a propane fire pit in my pavilion quickset tent and I love it!! One suggestion I can make from experience is to run a fan pointed up towards the ceiling from one of the corners to circulate the heat so your face don’t burn and your feet don’t freeze😊 we came up with this solution when it was -20c / -4F. Anytime from now on I run the propane fire pit the fan is on for maximum comfort…

Have watched some of your videos talking about your mini split. You mention turning it on off grid to get the chill off in the morning but have not found info on how much power it is drawing when you do run it. The propane fire pit you have, I had the same thing. They don't put out allot of heat but burn the propane and it is a dirty sooty burn. Last year I purchased a dyna-glo. Dyna-Glo RMC-LPC80DG 50,000 to 80,000 BTU Liquid Propane. They are for outdoor use as how you use yours and how we did also. But do they put out the heat. The vent opening near the top also blows the heat to you, so you don't have to huddle up to keep warm. They make a smaller one but I feel you want heat buy this one and if need be turn it down. It has a piezo ignition, so no need for a lighter to ignite. When we first turn it on, we put it on high which they recommend for the first few minutes till it warms up. We usually have to turn it down it works so well. It burns super clean and sips fuel compared to the fire pit. I also have a metal coffee cup and put it on top every now and then to keep my coffee hot.

👍 maybe keep the Buddy Heater (and 1 lb to 20 lb tank hose) in back of the van - just incase of power outage and overcast skies
