Will Odell Beckham Jr. take Dolphins' offense to another level?

In the latest episode of Dolphins In Depth, Omar Kelly and Barry Jackson discuss the impact Odell Beckham Jr. could have on Miami’s speed-obsessed offense, how his signing impacts other players in the receiver unit, and debate what should come next once Miami gets $18.5 million in cap release on June 1.

Hey Omar! A few things to work on is a separate KZread channel and Spotify/Apple Podcasts "channel" this will help us subscribe to just the dolphins content. This will also help with notifications as well. Can we also get a general idea of how often you guys will post podcasts? Some do one a week or one everyday. No disrespect to the other podcast, but this one is so much smoother. Looks like both hosts complement each other better. It doesn't go into a tangent; stays on the main theme and adds some other, peripheral information. But stays the course and gets to the finish line. So much clearer, sharp and easier to listen to. I'm rooting for Ezukamna; his skill set is a complement to what the others do.

I hear you about being patient, but in the past when the Dolphins are patient and it doesnt workout everyone slams them for not having any urgency. Such a weird world. McCoach has to make a serious effort to spread the catches throughout his WR corps. As GREAT as REEK is, this offense IMO will be better if the ball is spread out more better. This the BEST version of Omar I have ever seen. Barry is always at a All-Pro level. And whoever gave this video a thumbs down, it is a show with Barry Jackson, what is wrong with you!

@rHinosYth I think it just opens up more options with OBJ and Jonnu. Tyreek only plays about 65% of the snaps anyway, so I'm not sure lowering his volume or snap share is necessary, but it does open up more options for Tua and gives defenses more to account for.

Omar makes sense , that is , if the Dolphins rely heavily on the pass game . Now , considering how the Dolphins are ranked last or close to it in rushing attempts for last season , it would at least seem wise of the Dolphins to " Run " the football more this season . And such would appear to be the case considering that the Dolphins drafted a running back but you never know what is going on with the Dolphins .

Listen. We all know they are going to triple tyreek with a corner, a safety distinguished as a linebacker, and the formation safety. I am little disappointed we did not get one of those pro ready WR in the draft that run a sub 4.4 and 200+ pounds to help the run and overall passing game. Dolphins continues to bet there season on a single player. Jalen Waddle has only proven that he is only a decent 3 receiver and needs alot work to become a pro bowl 2 receiver (another project). Concerning the heat, they need a 7 footer who can block shots and dunk the ball. They may need to sign Whiteside's little brother.

Last 2 seasons Hill has been targeted 341 times. Waddle was targeted 221 times. The next receiver over the last 2 years got 95 targets(Smythe, Gesicki). Essentially this is a 2 man system because why? Is it Tua just targeting Hill all the time or is the quick timing routes in the McDaniels system or are other receivers just unable to get open? I don't buy that receivers are not open. Many times the pocket has broken down and Tua just can't find receivers at that point and still forces the ball to Hill or Waddle. Go look at the film. Tua was 5th in INTs last year with 14 picks. He is supposed to be so accurate but he makes some questionable throws at times.....JS

Defense. Dolphins are the only team that spends NASA money on defensive line. Yet, they are not the fastest team in the league to pressure the quarterback. And, even if they were successful, they invest generational capital to shave off one second or a fraction on a second off QB pressure. How about this: Dolphins play florida football and get more than one linebacker who can run 4.4 and be a ballhawk and while you are at it maybe get some young corners that can do the same thing to fill out your cornerback room. (You do need 3 corners)
