Guys the small engine, the 457 is a P-twin not a single.

Man i wish they would relaunch the Griso. They go for obscene prices nowadays.

For me a new California would be fine either with the current v100 engine or with an increased capacity, as lets face it the California has been anything from 850 to 1400 over the many years of production, so a 1000cc is no problem. As for the Stornello name it obviously has to be on a scrambler, the original was a 125 or 160cc, so yes a style kit for the v7 850 is ok, but it would make more sense on a smaller capacity light weight scrambler, so as you suggested it could turn up on an Aprillia 457cc parallel twin which would be just a Guzzi in name but not in real terms. Again for Guzzi it wouldn't be a first, as back in the day a lot of Bennelli two strokes were rebadged as Moto Guzzi's . Plus the Piaggio group need to utilise the engines they have available to them to help keep costs down, so I don't have a problem with this, although as a traditionalist I would prefer a V twin or single cylinder Moto Guzzi.

Forget the Cali and the Stornello - how about a new Le Mans?

I had an Audace. Loved it!

For me the California took on the U.S. cruisers and was a better bike imho special being shaft drive

I'd like to see a lighter baby California with the 850 motor

It would have the V100 engine. makes zero sense not to do it. economies of Platform... just check its configuration..even having rotated it's heads 45degrees makes room for a lower tank, as fuel is now under the seat
