Will MLS punish Taxi Fountas after DC United racial slur allegation?

Ойын-сауық

Taxi Fountas has been accused of using a racial slur against a DC United teammate while one of the club's trainers was fired for making a hand gesture considered by some to be a hate symbol. Jimmy Conrad and Heath Pearce lament the ongoing issues with racism in MLS.

What does this guy know about the town of Missolonghi to call it a racist town? That town has probably more history than all of the speaker peasant predecessors put together.

Fountas should leave the team and Dave Kasper too. Kasper brings players from trash teams from around the world. DC United deserves a real #10 player.

    1) taxi fountas (and if true, that dc united trainer) should be drummed-out of the league, immediately. 2) anyone who lets stupid people hurt their feelings is *weak* inside, and needs to grow tf up. lol, you cannot stop stupid people from being stupid, all you can do is hold them responsible for their stupid actions, and refuse to allow those actions to affect your self-concept. too many people have forgotten that "sticks and stones can break your bones, but words will never hurt you."

@@surfhappens202 ...excepting the league, of course. they must terminate fountas' contract, as well as that trainer's, that behavior cannot be tolerated. however, the victim shouldn't gaf, he should have better self-concept. if you care what stupid people think about you, *you give them power over you.* if you do not, then they have no such power.

What's weak is you thinking you know what's others should do in these instances, and this type of opinion typically comes from people who have never been discriminated against, or called a racial slur. So, for me, if you've never had the feeling of being diminished by ignorance and racism, dont try and tell others what they need to be doing, just stfu

fountas most certainly did something very bad, and his contract should be immediately terminated, at least. the assaulter also did wrong, but that should be handled within the context of the team, as fights happen in training, that's the nature of competitive physical sports.

@@douglasharley2440 the logic.. Kid A calls kid B insulting name, kid B assaults kid A. Ur conclusion: give kid B a pat on the wrist for physically attacking and hurting peer, expel kid A for “emotional damage” kid Bs feels. Sounds like one has no impulse control, is violent and fragile. U don’t go around attacking people for calling u a name or insult.
