At 52:40,when they are talking about Phil being closeted,I would actually go a step further,in that I believe him and Vito had a romantic relationship in 80s before Phil went to prison.From saying that Vito looked like “John Travolta”when he was younger, to the look of despair and longing when his goons were Vito to death.While outwardly he appeared to be enraged at Vito’s sexuality, I think he was freaking out internally,that Vito may be spill the beans on their relationship.Or at the very least people would start connecting the dots.

Nah that's fun but it would have came up, Phil being closeted is possible as the Travolta line is good but no way they was smashing

I don't know if I am all in on this idea but they do immediately gag Vito the second they get him which would lend credence to the idea he might say something before they killed him. But that said, it made sense to gag him anyway. An interesting theory anyway
