Hard one to take tbh, and I'm a Chelsea fan. I must say, I really, really enjoyed Liverpool when they were having a terrible time, almost as much as I am enjoying the pain and suffering of Man United in this period now (and I'd rather not talk about Chelsea right now if you dont mind 😬). So any old manager coming in and making Liverpool good again wasn't going to be something I'd have gotten behind. But genuinely, its been a pleasure and a privilege to have him in the Premier League, and I'm very, very sorry to see him go. First and foremost, on a football level, he's put together teams that have been so, so fun to watch, absolute white knuckle stuff when it came off. He's genuinely given depth and range of quality to the Prem. Secondly, speaking of the Prem, we all owe him a thank you for making the last few seasons actually interesting and not just The Pep Guardiola Show, not only did he beat Man City to a league title, he finished just 1 point behind them twice, when no-one else was anywhere near. Thirdly, he's quite funny, and he smiles a lot, and seems to be fairly polite and considerate. Small things, but it really does feel like a breath of fresh air to watch someone at that level in the sports world, and for them to seem likeable, even warm. And forthly, I admire him a lot for things he said during the pandemic, or about social equality, and even Brexit and stuff like that. It's one thing to understand you're a role model, and to decide to stay out of politics, its another thing to understand you're a role model, and use your platform to eloquently and conscientiously advocate for things you believe are right. It's strange how nobody in football does it, compared to, say, actors or musicians. Well, off the top of my head, those are some ways he's made English football richer, more interesting and enjoyable, and franky just better. I look forward to getting back into old habits and taking the piss out of Liverpool again, hopefully when Chelsea are slightly higher in the table, but I'll never lose respect for Klopp. If only every club could be lucky enough to get someone like that once in a while.

Heartfelt gratitude to Jurgen Klopp for the past 8.5 years. A few 'projects' I think would fit Klopp profile. The Germany national team is the obvious choice. Other possible options I can think of could be Italy. Napoli for one, they have the fervent fanbase like Liverpool, that "punch above their weight' mentality BUT the club owner could be the big obstacle. Another club I can think of is AC Milan; another of the fallen giants like Liverpool, and it is part of the Red Bird group. Going back to Dortmund is also a possibility.. I think. Or after a year he could swap places with Xabi Alonso.

Age is a factor. The man is 56 years old. And probably feels even older given how much energy he puts into his work. I reckon this is his last job at club level. After a year, he'll probably manage the German national team. And then call it quits.

I was thinking of the same thing too. Football manager never have a break. Just imagine 9 years he spent at LFC, he hardly had a proper break. Even pre-season he and the players will be away globe trotting around the world promoting LFC. I want to selfish and keep Klopp in LFC forever but it’s not going to happened. He is too smart to "come back" and make this highly stressful job again. He will do rather a medium job which doesn't require so much efforts like daily press conferences and basically give 100% 24/7 managing so much. Probably in 2 years he might do something like the national coach for the german team, where you just have a bit more stress for a few month and then its rather pretty relaxed in comparison.

Kloppo took over Mainz while still playing for the team in danger of relegation to league three and got them into the BL. He has never changed. He is a high octane motivator and communicator and a tactical revolutionary. He instilled the back four in Germany after Rangnick got ridiculed for that. He communicated modern tactics as a pundit during the 2006 WC. In Mainz he was as much a god as in Liverpool and many tears were shed when he left (in league 2) not at least his own. In Dortmund he took over a team in shambles which had just escaped bankruptcy, no money to spend and won the league with a young team of nobodies (Lewandowsky, Hummels, Götze, later Gündogan and Reuss) everaging 22 years sometimes less. His "Gegenpressing" revolutionised world football. When he left he got an emotional farewell, but nothing similar to what happens in Liverpool right now. Because Dortmund knew that the club is bigger than any individual, by all respect they still have for Kloppo. In all the comments on KZread I just heard that once. If a club merges to much with one individual that's not good. For Kloppo himself I can't imagine he can stand out of football long. And considering his tendency to take over teams in shambles with a big history, enormous potential and huge emotional support I can see were he'll end up. With his skillset emotionally and professionally I can very well see him lifting a fifth World Cup for his country.

It matters what people think when you leave.” Most coaches would have made this decision last season, but Kloppo has once again summoned all his energy, restructured the team, integrated the youth talent into the first team and will leave Liverpool with at least one title and well prepared for the future! Well, Klopp said before in 2019 or 2020 that he can see himself only at Bayern after Liverpool, and ar the end of his career he would like to coach Germany. But somehow is always a bad time for Bayern, becaise it seems like Tuchel won't last at all, so Bayern will get a new manager at the end of the season, if Klopp takes a break thek Bayern will take another coach.

I know all supporters says their club is something special, but with Liverpool, that is really true. My football friends - those not Liverpool supporters, but clubs like PSG, ManU, and one.. even suddenly starting to ''like'' Newcastle...Ugh... (I know i know, they are just that kinda ''fans''). What i try to say though, is how they respond when i try to tell them about why Liverpool are different. Liverpool is one of few clubs that still does it the ''old way'' - the Liverpool way. Like instead of buying a whole ''team'', we - and this is a perfect example - Liverpool buy a left-back from Hull for £8m.. - not 800 (Mancs), 8....my jaw is still dropping seeing that - then Liverpool gives him time and a lot of love, to makes him into an assist machine and one of the best left back in the world, only beaten (assist-vice i mean by...the right back on the same team - which ofc, wasn't bought at all, cause he is homegrown, a local lad. My point is, Liverpool is a family. The spirit of Shankly, that is also the spirit of Klopp - and the spirit of all of us - that all together makes the spirit of Liverpool Football Club. It's more than a club. I still feel exactly the same for Liverpool, although it's difference with football as a whole. It's sort of like - I'm not a supporter of football, I'm a supporter of LIVERPOOL. The way Klopp leaves now, is so my alike how Shankly left. Not staying on for a year or two more, because of ego, or whatever, not giving 100%. Maybe dragging the whole club down. No, instead he shows just how much Liverpool he is, and is in him. He steps aside because he loves the club. Though not before he again have built a team that is still raising and will actually become better and better. So many thought that was was it, like my friends, after Mane etc left, and other changes. Especially with what can seem as ''mediocre'' seasons, which can be seen like that, or like ... again, Wait until this team get the hang of it, and we get another 5-6 years on top. Klopp leaves a club in balance, and the way it's was done, to how he leaves - it's all in the spirit of Liverpool Football club, it' all the The Liverpool Way - You'll Never Walk Alone!
