I just got a HDS 2145, the engine is branded Cummins-Onan but is the same exact engine as this Linamar, smooth engine and it's replacing an Cub Cadet LT-1042 with a failing hydro and knocking Kohler Courage 19 single, hours are unknown on the HDS but I'd guestimate between 500-600 given the wear and tear on the machine, the LT only has 508.9 hours and has been nothing but trouble ever since it passed 400 hours

I have one of these and it is still running strong at nearly 21 years old.

This one is still running great so far, i just wish it had been taken better care of before me. They seem like pretty decent little machines

I have the same model and it ran fine until yesterday. It looks like the ignition coil is bad as I get no spark. I have 300 hours on it. The ignition coils are very hard to find. I have one on order from Messick's Parts right now. Has anybody changed the coil on one of these. it looks like it might be hard to get to as it is back of the engine covered by an engine shroud. Any help would be appreciated.

Where is the model number of this Cub Cadet located, I looked under the seat and could not find it.....picture of where would help too!

Have you ever had to replace the gear cover gasket on a mower like this? I'm having trouble pulling the gear cover off of the pto spindle. Is there a trick to do this? Thanks

How do I get the engine to stop cutting off when I get off of the seat ?

Seat switch bypass. Ill have to look and see how the previous owners did it to mine

No luck finding a coil for my 2146. Does anyone know if one is available or if there is a substitute coil that will work?

I have a 2166 i removed the engine to adjust my coil and it works for now

8 bolts holding it in there four under engine and four on the drive shaft

Any idea what replacement carb it would be for that Linamar engine? I have looked and I can’t find one to replace the Nikki carb that’s on it

I dont don’t remember but I think i found it by searching the parts lookup/ diagrams for the model tractor not the engine

I am looking for a linamar zx390 engine. Any one have one?
