Hey bud I have the same tractor. Keep an eye on the engine oil. If it keeps going up your hydraulic pump blew seals and hydraulic oil is in the engine oil. Not a good thing and is probably the reason for the piston going out. I haven't figured out the problem yet and I'm on my second hydraulic pump since I bought mine a couple of years ago. So, at the moment I'm not going to run mine much until I get this hydraulic pump thing figured out. I'm thinking that there is too much pressure in the system someplace. But, I'm not a hydraulic expert. So, I keep watching videos and learn as much as I can.

Nice work. I liked the declaration that it owed you money. I need to look at several of my projects that way!

Speaking from experience. Try and avoid idling under 1,000 rpm Or simply turn it off. . The inline 3 cylinder engines vibrate front to back, not in the normal rotation way a even number piston inline engine does. They take the center splines out in the clutch disk, when they get idled a lot. I've known a few that lasted less then 500 hours. 0.01c

Any idea how many hours it took to swap the engines?

I have this exact tractor. I can't imagine what kind of abuse that tractor and the donor tractor must have seen. I don't exactly baby mine, I've had it 20 years and the starter never makes more than 2 revolutions before starting. Doesn't matter if it's 10 below or 110.

I recently bought a L3400 and it’s the same way. I barely bump the key and it starts even with a cracked block
