Will it Run and Drive ? Abandoned 1960 Nash Metropolitan
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Will it Run and Drive? Will this abandoned Metropolitan be the rebound fight the crew needed to bounce back from last week's humiliating defeat, or will they suffer yet another beatdown at the hands of a different piece of garbage? Although small this Nash is no lightweight and has many dirty tricks under its wheel wells. Gotta come hang out to find out.. throw the towel if were getting wooped too bad! Thanks for tunin' in!

The part toward the end racing that metropolitan around would have been me at 14 years old. Since I had one about the same kind of shape for a field car. Very entertaining, thank You you brought back old memories.😁👍

Ya know, my buddy had a 1959 Metropolitan in two-tone black & white like the two-piece Metro on the trailer. I had a 1964 English Ford Cortina Station-Wagon and a 1967 MG Midget and they all had MG motors in 'em like yer wife's new toy does. For those who don't know, those are all Positive Ground electrical systems with Lucas parts. This brings back some great memories, not like the Satellite-X sitting back there brings back memories of my 1970 Roadrunner, but great memories nonetheless! Good luck and keep 'em coming, we're rootin' for you!

The Engine is what was known as the pre B series engine .the original engine was 1200 cc which was the first OHV engine BMC built for the 1949 Austin A40 Devon ,then the Dorset .after the original side valves up till 1949 .they went on to be in the Wolseley 1500 ,the Riley 1.5 .the Austin Cambridge .then they took them out to 1622cc in the later 60’s Cambridge ,and Morris Oxford then they took them out to 1800cc for the MGB sports cars and the Morris Marina TC .great engines bullet proof reliability the same as the smaller A series engines that were put in the original mini the earlier Morris minor Also the Austin A30and A35 and A40 farina .the Wolseley hornet and Riley elf ..

Hey! Thanks for the info. What's really cool is being in the hobby for years and just now stumbling onto a whole new make and model with a history all its own. I can tell the engine design is bullet proof. You can sense it by how good it runs after sitting so long; much like the 223 ford we just did. Both engines run like a top even on older plugs and old gas. Thanks again for the info and thanks for watching!

Filtering old gas like you have, I'd have used coffee filters to strain the crap out. Friendly hint bro.

Thats a good idea, We don't have a coffee pot in the garage but wouldn't be a bad idea to have a few filters around for straining. Appreciate the hint and appreciate ya watching!
