I 100% agree that the rares need to be in the back.

@@ipodammo9008 buying singles is much better, you'd have to spend $2000 to get all the cards you want by opening packs but it is a satisfying experience.

5:25 Green has a very minor theme of being able to counter abilities, with Bind, Brown Ouphe, and Rust predating Stifle (and later Dissonate Wave and Green Slime, among some others) in being able to counter abilities. So maybe green is the best way to stop your creatures from becoming Elks.

Loved the box opening! Was folding some clothes while I watched and somehow folded a full sized elk while I was at it. Don't worry it's completely fine! I can be such a klutz sometimes.

The struggle to open packs in this drove me nuts xD! The way I do it is so fast, you pinch the flap at one end, then on the other side, place your thumb along the top edge of the card (same end) and press the package into the cards, then pull the flap. Easy peasy.

When I get the japanese printed boosters (rares in the front) I just flip the pack and start flipping them rather than reorder them first, get the elk token in the back as a surprise.

I love this set. I love that we can have sets where random people show up. As long as they aren't SUPER common (once a year or so) it's good to have a reason to just bring everyone together. Plus who doesn't want to turn Olivia Voldaren into an Elk?

I have no clue how ppl justify buying these. I never see ppl hit their money and when they do it isn't cards I'd want lol. I however understand the fun in opening packs.

I wish there was a dedicated BIG slot or two, I'm worried if any of those cards becomes popular in standard, it's going to be really hard to get a playset. I love the showcase versions but I'm more likely to lasso an elk at a rodeo than to get the ones I'm looking for.

I think there should be two types of boosters draft boosters for limited players and collectors boosters for the collectors.

There are now. Play boosters, used for draft, sealed, prerelease, etc and for building a collection. And Collector boosters, for the fancy versions of cards

@@caseywellington4761 Nope. Play boosters are just Set Boosters so they can upcharge us. They said it themselves. Set boosters were selling more than draft boosters because of collectors. So they wanted to get rid of draft boosters. Who knows who this hurts casual limited players that are now forced to buy a more expensive booster for the format they like.

The tear strip often doesn't help with opening the pack. Elk. Definitely feels bad when an upshifted Breaking News card replaces the pack rare. Between that and the commander deck cards these packs seemingly have 2 or 3 rares, which aren't great to open at $25 a piece.

Elks are part of why Oko got banned. (I freaking love the scorpion dragon!)

I wish there was a guaranteed big card in every collector pack. I feel like those cards are going to be hard to find. You opened more commander cards then big cards. You got 4 total and I think that's on the lucky end.

@@jacobd1984 It honestly seems like the core crew was decided first and maybe the rest were added into the crew later? So they could get alt arts, but not cards, etc. Or maybe they just wanted a cycle of 5.
