I bought my wife that exact Caran d'Ache a few years ago. She treated it like a Bic, just throwing it in her purse rubbing against her keys etc. Yet somehow, the finish is perfect. Truly amazing lacquer.

Amazing, proves what an incredible quality Caran d'Ache delivers!

Graf von Faber-Castell is simply the best. Have yet to handle one that is not perfect. They are truly the Breguet of the pen world.

Excellent choice

My favourite is the Caran D'ache Leman..have 2..the Ebony in Black and the super stunning Bleu Marin...right at the top in terms of quality, looks and writing experience

My pick would be Graf von Faber Castell too, although Design 07 black Matt looks very cool

The MB had a "fine" nib while all the others had medium nibs. To "compare", they all should have had medium nibs.

You really needed to test the JFK in a medium nib, like all the rest, for a true comparison. My favorite is still the MB JFK.

Hi Dear Todd. Thanks for your reply. I love to use both F and M in my daily life. I somehow loved to even compare if i would for for a Fine instead than a Medium, but it didn't felt like the right piece for the day.

Thanks for the video. Wonderfull pens. But testing a pen with only a dip, is to simple. One can only judge the performance with a filled pen, where the feed system is In action.

Thank you Jens. Dipping the Nib keeps the Pen Clean (since we sell the pens we show on the Channel) and definitely gives with 90% accuracy the tendency and performance indication of a Nib and it's flow. Usually if a Fountain Pen wont flow well, then the problem lies especially in the capillary system that is storing the Ink, and therefore we will be able to see if the Fountain Pen delivers Ink, delivers too much Ink and also if the NIb is scratchy, smooth or what kind of Feedback it gives. Thanks again for sharing your opinion.

In this group my favourite is the JFK as a total, but as to thickness of writing I love the Graf.

The JFK was the only one with a "fine" nib. All the others were medium. So, of course, the JFK had a slimmer writing footprint than the others.

I take the CA as a gift for my woman.

The GVFC is the best - as it should be, given the huge price! Montblanc is just overrated, a status symbol that became popular in the 1980s. Otto Hutt offers value for money.
