Unfortunately they’re currently not where the brand deserves to be. Surely a Duofold remains a classic, and we hope to see the brand back we’re it should be.

Beautiful collection, I am not a fan of just three of the brands you presented today, the rest I REALLY love. I have some of them in my collection. Always a pleasure to watch your content, thank you very much for it!

I came in skeptical based on the title, but can't argue your taste in pens and agree with most of them! You missed Danitrio though.

Samuel, thank you so much for showing these pens 😊 The Dorsal Fin looks wonderfull, but is sadly too short for my hands (especially as it does not post). Maybe there will be a larger Dorsal Fin 3 one day….? 😂 Personally, I would add the Yard-O-Led Viceroy Grand (either Victorian or Barley) 😊

I personally don't need the black cigar (or any other) Montblancs but I really like your suggestions. I think you could add four must haves: a Lamy Dialog 3 and one of the Pilot Capless fountain pens, because they are iconic in the retractable class and fun to use. I don't know when and why it started to be forgotten, but I personally think that a Parker Duofold should be part of any collection and that at least one Parker 51 levels a conglomeration of fountain pens up to a collection.

Dear Andreas. Thanks for sharing your opinion. You are right, Parker Duofold definitely is another Must. Unfortunately Parker isn’t where it deserves to be right now and therefore they are highly under the Radar. Hopefully the brand will rise and shine again.

I was always under the impression that MB was expensive. But looking at list you’ve provided. Compared to the other pens. MB kinda looked cheap 😅 Either way, love pens. Recently started getting into pens. Started with a parker.

Very good recommendations. One that you have missed, for some reason less conspicuous amongst pen enthusiasts but a firm and leading favourite with penmeister Sbrebrown is the English company known as Yard O Led. Their Victorian Grand Connoisseur, hand crafted in solid sterling silver is Sbrebrown's greatest pen of all time. I have one myself and I agree that it is incomparably beautiful, as well as an outstanding writing experience. I think it now retails for approximately £1200, but I would recommend it to anyone. My only criticism is that it is a pretty heavy pen, so not perhaps suitable for very long writing sessions, but otherwise perfect - a real stunner.

Just one question, why Caran D’ache doesn’t make oversized pens with a #8 nib… somewhat similar to Mont Blanc 149… The day they do, I will be perhaps the first to buy it.

These are all creme de la creme fountain pen models. From experience, because I happen to own them, I love the Sailor KOP in urushi lacquer because it has a nib whose quality is out of this world, I love my Pelikan 1000 because of its hansome, elegant and juicy nib, and the S.T. Dupont Line D whose nib is absolutely excellent beside the fact that it is a pen of very singular beauty, taste and elegance. Now to respond to your question I would add Leonardo Momento Zero Grande and the English brand Yard O'Led.

U should try one brand called crown this is a brasilian brand with a super high-and quality. Three models that I recommend is the crown capricci, crown president, crown ebony. It's very good and fancy fontain pen from Brasil.

#24: Montblanc Mozart 114... Everyone needs a small travel pocket pen, and the 114 posts into a full-length Meisterstück. It's the best engineering Montblanc has ever come up with. Sad they discontinued it...

What is a reason you decided to foucs on high end fountain pens instead of broader range ?

Quick Note…the Nakaya Dorsal Fin in the video is in fact the Nakaya Dorsal Fin v2 as there is also a Dorsal Fin (v1) which is not the one in the video ;-)

10:58 It is a bit hard to hear, but I think I heard 18k for the Lamy 2000. Some vintage Lamy 2000 had 18k gold nibs, but the newer ones are 14k. However it is easy to say 18k, when the majority of the previously shown pens had 18k nibs. :)

@@SamuelNaldi Ah, I see. No worries. :) That was a great selection of pens! Indeed, the Lamy 2000 is a great pen. I actually prefer it over the Imporium. …and I may or may not have 6 Lamy 2000. Rumors you know. :) My favorite 2000 is definitely the Blue Bauhaus. Such an interesting piece. Especially with the connection to the Bauhaus art school and the Bauhaus design of the pen. And it is even dark blue.

Hi Samuel, I’m still stuck with the montblanc brand. One question though, I have none of the fountain pens in Fine nib, most in medium, I like your opinion on fine this. I have my eye on the Muhammad Ali new pen, but only available in fine nib so far.

Montblanc is great. One day you’ll start with the other one. I personally prefer fine nibs as they are great for journaling and to have a very precise looking writing. It’s up to you at the end and what your need are. However i love Fine Nibs.
