    But people have tried! Boiling Frog Syndrome is the idea that large scale, disastrous change can go unnoticed if it is slow and incremental enough. Like putting a frog in a pot of boiling water and slowly increasing the temperature. The frog won't notice until it's too late. But can you actually boil a frog like that? Science says no. But a couple experiments done in the 19th century say otherwise. Either way, Boiling Frog Syndrome might apply more aptly to humans than frogs. Enjoy!

    I can confirm that if you slowly boil a human in a pot of water they won't jump out.

    Yeah, metaphor still valid. Also, don’t bother searching for two birds in a bush and one in your hand to try and disprove that one is better than the other. I recommend spending the majority of your time proving your point, as opposed to hunting down the validity of needless details about the scientific accuracy of a metaphor.
