14:07 I have the 75" Sony X90L Thanks to Caleb. I hooked up my Panasonic UB820 directly to the TV and turned off the processing on the 4K Blu-ray player. And I couldn't be happier. The Sony does a remarkable job on cleaning up the DVDs and the blu-rays. And the Google TV on the Sony is the lightning fast.

Generally speaking, Sony's upscalers, especially the ones from their 2023 line up that contain the XR Clear technology (like the X90L) are just about the best upscalers available in the market today. Unless you are spending 5x to 10x what you paid for your new Sony TV on a different component upscaler device, your Sony TV is going to do the job better than anything else you own - and it won't even be close.

@@miloa.2684 It's not really turning off the processing. It's turning off all the extras I don't need. For instance, in the menu setting I turned off the HLG converter, the 24p instead auto I turned to off. That way it would stop trying to overprocess the picture and it does give me a smoother cinematic motion.

I just got a killer deal on an s90c. I bought directly through samsung with military discount. Then I msg with then them in the chat and got the to take even more off the price. Was pretty easy lol. I got the 65 inch for 1295 with free two year Samsung care plus. I was debating between a75L, c3, and s90c all 65 inch. The deal I got on this made the decision for me in the end. Super happy with the TV, this is my first high end tv and wow, it's a monster.

@@Daywalker78 it's about 10%. Then got them to add another 10% on top of that. Just talk with them in chat and say you are considering a new TV and do they have any additional deals or promos. Most likely they will give two year care plus and free wall mounting. Then I just asked since this is the older model an I won't need wall mount can they take any additional of the price. They might ignore or say they can't at first but just be nice about it and and say you are ready to buy now if they can get the price down a little more. I think the reps are foreign and they work off small commissions so if you say you will buy now they like that. They will write up the deal for you with all the promos and send you a link. And wait while you pay to make sure everything is good. I was pumped. Seriously thank you so much lol. They even put it in for me to pick up at my local best buy. Really happy with the TV so far. Hope that helps anyone interested.

Still running my 70" 2012 Sharp 3D set, which cost $3000. Haven't watched my one 3D blu-ray for several years now, but the set still works, so I can't justify replacing it. (Which will also require a new AVR, cables, and blu-ray player) . If the TV ever fails I'll consider a 4K replacement. Smart capability doesn't matter, since I'll only connect it to the internet maybe once a year for firmware updates.

We picked up two LG C3’s of different sizes last December and January, and then prices increased on both. Actually saved more because my daughter convinced me to buy the 65” c3 over the 77” g3. Basically got two for the price of one. Kids are great. 😜. Then she watched Ta-Ta to her hearts content. 👍🤪🏳️‍🌈

7:56 I don't agree with that 2024 TVs are only "marginally improved". Let me give some examples: The new Sony MiniLED with the prototype backlight. I wouldn't call a potential 50% brightness increase, 3x more dimming zone count a "marginal upgrade". That's massive. The LG G4 seems to have massive processing and feature upgrade, it does have some brightness increase as well, even if not as big as from G2>G3 because first MLA. But the G4 also have fixed a lot of the glaring problems the G3 had, specifically for gaming. So why buy the G3 for example when it's problematic? If you like 8K TVs. The new Samsung 900D have massive processing increase as well, in upscaling to 8K and motion and AI. TCL QM8 this year has basically doubled it's nit and dimming zone count, maybe even more. That is not "marginal". Same for Hisense U8N. The TCL QM7 is upgraded to be basically same level as last years QM8. Also not marginal. Sure if you plan on getting C3 over C4, then there is nothing. Because LG didn't do anything. Same with Samsung QN90D MiniLED. They did nothing for 4K lineup. But can't say the same for TCL/Hisense or Sony and to some extent some Samsung/LG TVs. I would have extreme regret if I went and bought a Sony X95L and then the X95M (if that's the name) comes out and just smashes the X95L. Which the prototype did. It showed clearly a big improvement. I wouldn't be quick to give advice to buying a 2023 TV "now". When 2024 TV are just starting to come out and could prove to be better. This will just cause regret. Wait and see and when you know what they can do. Then you decide and maybe a 2023 is still the best option. But buying one just before. It's just total disaster in regret if it happens.

Kaleb I want to ask what TV type last the longest and what wears out faster❓ I know this will surprise you for many reasons but I am still using my Sharp AQUOS Quattron TV. I leave it on for days at a time and it still works and looks good. I know I'm surprised too. I bought it in 2012 and this 70" TV has more than impressed me and yes I do enjoy my 3D movies. I have been wanting to upgrade to 4k , but don't know what is built to last, and is somewhat reasonable in price. Thanks for considering my questions❓

Hello experts, I bought the Hisense - 100" Class U76 at $2,000 form bestbuy including install, but mine was damaged, so I have that price locked in! But no one at Best Buy knows when more are coming in. Conn's has some recently stocked so I know at least more are coming to some places. Nebraska Furniture Mart has the U8 series, Best Buy doesn't. Side note, isn't it odd Best Buy has both the U76 and U8 at $4,999? Anywyay, anyone out there have the inside scoop if Best Buy gets more U76? Is there a better alternative at $2,000? I guess not...

If it were to come back down, I would anticipate maybe come down to $599.00 - $650.00 range. Which for me would have translated to an additional $29-$80 saving which is not much. Sorry, but you have that all 100% backwards there. Those pre-installed streaming apps actually help to LOWER the cost of the TVs for consumers. Why? Because those companies are PAYING those TV manufacturers to have their apps appear by default on those sets. That additional revenue is what helps to drive the cost of the TV down for the consumers. It's a subsidy for the end customer. Without it, prices of TVs today would be FAR higher.
