I bought a 55" U7K, love it in so many ways. It can handle indirect sunlight in Phoenix, a hard chore. Love the apps and DLNA streaming. And the built in subwoofer and directional speakers are highly effective.

I have a 75" Sony X90L that I bought a few months ago and LOVE IT! Older TV shows are upscaled really well, sports look great, movies look amazing. I'm currently re-watching Longmire on Netflix and there have been a few scenes with the right lighting that just blew me away. The picture quality is insane.

I want back and forth between the X90L and the X93L with the same content including freeze frame and the only advantage that I could see is the deeper blacks on the X93L. Coming from an OLED that is an issue. The clarity and the shadow detail is a bit better on the X90L due to the XR Clear. The sets were just factory set and the remotes were not available at my local Best Buy. I was left wondering if the black level on the X90L would be improved enough if I adjusted the contrast and brightness and or monkey around with the different presets? I could not test the sound without the remotes and there is no question that anti glare on the X93L is superior.

I purchased a Sony X90L 65 inch yesterday for $930 out the door at a military exchange. Great price and I was pretty excited to get it unboxed and up and running. Much to my dismay, I'm not very impressed. Streaming Cable from Breezeline (formally Atlantic Broadband) and Netflix content to include NFL live games, old movies on TCM, and a few News shows over the last 24 hours, the picture looks like garbage. Replaced a Samsung UN55MU8000 (circa 2017), which is still quite good. I messed around with the setting, nothing seems to help.

Costco is offering the Sony X90L 65" for $999.. it also comes with a 5 year Allstate warranty. Which is worth $100 so the TV is really only $899 which is the same price as the 65" Hisense U8K and TCL QM8. For those looking.

I bought the Hisense U75k from Costco. I did not like the ghosting issue. Watching shows and constantly seeing the red ghosting issue was really annoying. I got a refund and bought a Sony X90L instead. The Sony X90L is a fantastic with no ghosting issues. $1000 at Costco with a 5 year warranty. Can't beat that.

@@SimonWoodburyForget@SimonWoodburyForget It is not a Hisense warranty that comes with costco model TVs. It is an Allstate warranty which is credible and reliable. Being that Costco is a membership based store their primary mission is to not loose customers as members, therefore they can't offer a difficult warranty service. It basically extends your reciepts exchange period to 5 years.

Here in UK and EU Hisense TVs come with their VIDAA Smart OS. I’ve always been Samsung before however I agree with you the OS is a real pain and IMHO become worse not better.

You will be very happy with the 85" x90l. Just check to see if you have a good panel or not. Make sure your whites are pure white with very little DSE. Also ensure there are no dark corners (vignettes). Turn off all eco modes, and light sensor. Local dimming medium, gradation preferred. You will notice how clear everything is. If you have a Roku ultra or apple tv device, try to force HDR whenever possible, since some DV shows are a little dim.

I just bought an QN86C which is basically an QN90C since it has the ultimate local dimming exactly like the QN90C and QN85C it's a step below with supreme local dimming feature which it's pretty good too but not that good like the QN86C and QN90C is. Let me tell you that coming from a not so old TV the Q80B from last year (I mean it's 2 years old) which is full array local dimming this newer models are just mind blowing in absolutely everything. I have an IPS panel (which lots of folks still believe VA is better in nearly 2024 which is not the case anymore) and the contrast, the black level (especially with local dimming in HIGH ,the native 10bits color gamut coverage, gaming HDR brightness and highlights,9.6 ms response time in game mode at 60hz and around 5.4 ms at 120hz ,the viewing angles etc are just at another level from everything I had until now. I'm a great fan of this channel and I really love Denis"s reviews and how natural and great he speaks to his viewers.✌️Edit;. I forgot to mention that I bought the TV for 899€ here on sale in 55" and only 1 week before it was 1699 € in the exact same store here in Spain.🤭🫡

Caleb, I normally don't ask for buying advise because I can normally figure out what I want by watching a hundred video's and reading reviews lol. Based on your review I bought my first TCL TV, a 75" series 6 in 2021 - this was a big leap for someone who has owned different Samsung's and Sony's over the years. It was good advise and I have been really happy with it. So much so, I bought a TCL series 5 for a spare room in 2022. I am doing a bit of a Reno right now in our master and have incorporated a recessed shelf where I can mount up to a 65" TV. I have watched your reviews on the Hisense U7, the TCL Q7 and the TCL QM8. On Amazon Canada the Hisense U7 is $998 (CDN) the TCL Q7 is $1099, and the TCL QM8 is $1399. Because the U7 and the QM8 are mini-LED, would you consider them equals, making the Hisense a much better buy? It is clear you really like the QM8, so what I am pondering is whether paying an extra $400 for the QM8 makes sense "if" the U7 is its equal? Just looking for your thoughts.

Nice video Caleb. The Hisense and TCL TVs you recommend, as well as the Sony X90L, are all nice TVs as long as you are looking at them straight on. If you sit in one spot and are the only one watching the TV, those are all great TVs. I have a large bright room and do have at times multiple people over to watch sports. When I took my usage into account, the TV I decided on was the LG QNED85. I get it that we all have only so much time, but the QNED85 is a versatile TV. It is bright enough for the lights on, but has mini LED for when the lights are dim. Wide viewing angle gives everyone a good seat The processing is great; whatever the streaming service, the picture in both SDR and DolbyVision HDR looks wonderful. It also has LG's great gaming features. For the price, you can get a QNED85 and a nice soundbar for the price of a Samsung QN85C, Sony X93L or even an LG C3. It would be worth your time to review a QNED85.

QNED 85 is a great TV but you can't compare it with an QN85C since there is no comparison due to the fact that Samsung's TV has way better local dimming algorithms, greater color gamut coverage, better build quality, better viewing angles, way better black levels, way better gaming features, etc. In the end what matters if you are happy with your purchase or not and not others says like I did in my comment so have a good gaming or cinema session my friend.✌️

@@ADISTOD3MUS When I bought a year ago, it was the QN85B and X95K I was comparing with. I agree it would be brighter and have better local dimming, but viewing angle about the same on both. As for gaming, both the QN85B and C has 4 HDMI 2.1 ports vs the QNED85’s 2, but otherwise LG TVs are renown for their gaming modes. The QN85B’s black levels are slightly better than the QNED85’s, but the QN85C is much better. As for build quality, my TV is very nicely built. For what I paid, I am happy.

If you look at the reviews for literally anything that's sold or you have to put up money for, there's someone there to tell you you can't trust the reviewers because they all have a financial agenda, and we certainly can't trust random people on the internet "en masse" because they tend to be either uninformed or fanboys (often both), and there's only so many things we can know for ourselves from direct experience. I'm almost to the decision of what TV to buy, and it's looking like the TCL Q7. I was considering the Hisense U7 series, but the software concerns on reviews, and that it is $200 more is concerning me. As I'm checking out with the TCL Q7, I see the TCL class 6 series MINI LED is also on sale, and for $100 cheaper. Is just just an upgraded class 6 series? Mini LED looks very tempting, especially as I now read a lot of subtitles and the blooming bothers me (Sorry, not buying expensive oled again. I'm old and I didn't notice the "improved colors," and I need the brightness of an LED for my room.). All the reviews I've seen say it's not necessarily the number of LED backlights, but how they are used. I worry the class 6 series MINI LED may not have the hardware/software to even use those backlights well, and thus I should spend the extra $100 for the TCL Q7. I'd appreciate any advice here. Thank you. TCL - 55" Class 6-series Mini-LED QLED For $399. Vs TCL - 55" Class Q7 Q-class QLED for $499.

The sound bar doesn't work with the older HDMI cables. I need to run a new HDMI 2.1 cable through the wall to get rid of the 1 hanging HDMI cable. EDIT: I used eArc slots on both TV and sound bar and the sound bar wouldn't work when I used the in wall cable. I had a new 2.1 and hooked the TV and sound bar up with it. Worked immediately.
