@@connorhulegaard2012 Nah Yamaha patented a R9 few years ago. So we can expect a full race version of the MT09 sometime in the future.

The RR didn’t sell well bc they only tried half way, meanwhile my local ducati dealer can’t keep v2’s/v4’s on the showroom for more than a day. they need to make a fully faired, competitive bike if they want it to sell, slapping ohlins and a moto 2 logo on a naked bike just won’t sell

I think if Triumph offered the single headlight of the RR minus the fairings as an option on the street and speed models, they would sell way more bikes. Too many times have I heard non-Triumph fans be dissuaded from the bikes because of the “bug eyes” look. I’m hoping this is the model where they do it

i think that most people found the RR too uncomfortable for a cafe racer that they probably wouldnt be tracking very much. i think it would have sold a lot more with slightly higher bars. if they made a more comfortable street triple priced bike it would probably fly out of the showrooms. sign me up for that one

Triumph really should give us Dual round headlights on a proper Street Triple like Mission Impossible one.

it will be the street triple RR... the speed triple RR was too freaking expensive with all that electronic package.

Just purchased 2024 Street. Looked @ the Speed RS, decided it wasn't worth the extra £4500.

you sortof missed the answer to your own question. the main reason that the speed triple RR is being heavily discounted is the steep price tag, and the low supersport clip ons for a super nice cafe racer that probably wont be getting tracked a lot.. having both of those things fixed in a street triple version would be badass. sign me up.

I think it could be a 765RR. It is an odd looking design indeed. Seeing that single headlight and the mounting points. That large display wouldn't be seen with a 1/4 fairing covering it. However, it does have a handle bar, not a clip-on. It's bizarre in its raw form. Can't wait to see what they do with this "ugly duckling" Great video Rob!

one of the main complaints about the RR were the low clip ons. they probably are going slightly more comfortable

That speed triple has the best brakes I think I’ve ever felt on a bike though. I see good deals for them second hand too. Worth a shot if you can pick one up for a good price 👍

The 1200RS is also the best and not the most expensive

Best looking street triple imo is the first gen 675...very iconic look all Triumph need to do is keep the design and just improve the engine and tech side

I had my 6k mile service the other day for my Tiger 900. Cheeky buggers charged me £500 for an oil change and break pads.

What if its just a dude who wrecked his street triple and did his best to get it back on the road?

@@Stanley88845 yes I'm aware they reworked the 23/24 street triples. However, as other manufacturers keep pushing for more triumph has to get competitive as well. That engine has been stressed to its limits as well so it may be hinting at a new Gen which is refreshing in itself.

@@Stanley88845 Right, I agree with that, I love triumph because of the quality, suspension, and brakes. Yamaha is still outselling them in the numbers at the end of the day. Triumph will stay competitive as it's their most popular model. I think what most manufacturers will do is try to future proof their motorcycles. Think of the retro line, like the speed twin 1200. Makes tons of torque and decent hp but it's a relatively unstressed engine. The 3rd Gen mt09(4th gen now) recently got some love as well so maybe triumph is trying to stay relevant.

@@krie2375 but Yamaha isn’t outselling them. In the UK in 2023, Yamaha sold 731 MT09’s. Triumph sold 1,336 Street Triples. That’s nearly double. Overall in the UK, there is currently 14,440 Street Triples registered on the road compared to 8,939 MT09’s.

Proper Daytona isn't it - to match that sub 1000cc sporty type bike. Rather than the slightly dumbed down new Daytona.... Competitor to the new R9
