Wilderness and Faith Witness | Episode 3 | Land Without Borders
In this episode, Jack Beck shows you how wilderness can increase our faith witness through the example of David, seeking refuge from Saul in a wilderness oasis.
ABOUT THIS SERIES:
“Wilderness is not just an ecosystem-it’s a season of life.” - Jack Beck
Some of the Bible’s most familiar and powerful stories took place in the wilderness. The Israelites spent forty years in the wilderness. Jesus fasted in the wilderness for forty days, before He was tempted by Satan. Even the beloved “Shepherd Psalm,” Psalm 23, may have been inspired by the wilderness. In fact, the wilderness is mentioned more than three hundred times in Scripture.
Now, host Jack Beck ("The Holy Land: Connecting The Land With It's Stories") highlights the easily-overlooked truths of the wilderness-both the harsh, threatening ecosystem in which Bible people sometimes found themselves and the difficult seasons of life in which we often operate. By showing what the wilderness meant to people in Bible times, Jack also provides guidance for our own experience in barren times and places.
In "Land without Borders", Jack Beck will lead you on a journey of discovery, using the Bible’s physical landscape to heighten your spiritual experience.

Can see David had rough life running from Saul, for 20 yrs.
Great series. I've been doing a deep dive into the new testament, specifically Acts 2 the story of Pentocost. I realized inorder to understand the bible the way it was written I must understand it as a jew, so I am trying to get in touch with my Jewish roots. My study in acts two brought me to studying the psalms, which brought me pslams 32 which brought me to this playlist. I hope to one day visits Isreal and see all the places talked about in the bible. God bless you all, in Jesus name through his life, death resurrection we are saved from sin and death.

Thank you so much for sharing these insights with us and using your knowledge of geography to even better accentuate God’s hand in all things
My first visit to Israel started in a ckeveland hotel. There was a mechanical problem with the plane, so when i was suppose to be with my tour mates at masada and the dead sea, i spent it over night in cleveland. I would really enjoy going with bro jack beck on a hike through the land of israel, someday, before i get too old to hike. God owes me a day!!!
