Wild Horses ... Mustangs of Oregon
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
About the video: I wanted to do a whole year in review, but realized that would be a bit long, so creating segments of the year, and here are a few moments on the mustang ranges- video clips spliced together in August and September. On these trips, we got to continue to follow along the journeys of our longtime mustang friends we've been watching and learning about for nearly ten years. We also got to meet new faces and learn about them. Looking forward to seeing them all on their journeys this coming year, as well as meet new wild faces!
Now, as a disclaimer- I am a photographer and by no means do I claim to be a videographer. My videos are rough, and dont even use a tripod when I flip the video switch on. While photographing after I get the shots I want, will then suddenly toggle to video- and my big foot-long telephoto lens in the slightest of breezes is very unsteady... now add coffee and mustang excitement, and it makes me all too aware I need to slow down and some and use proper video equipment in the future LOL ... But for now this is what you guys get- since I can't take you all out there with me, I figure you may still like my sudden video-thought moments showing our amazing wild horses in motion through my glass- sort of like bringing you all out there with me.
Enjoy. And if you have little ones, sit them with you and tell them- YES, we do still have wild untouched mustangs roaming on vast and wild ranges out west where eagles glade and sunsets set the skies ablaze as far as the eyes can see.
Keep the WILD in our WEST and our WEST WILD~

So very beautiful. There's nothing quite like horses just being horses. So many lovely colors in this group, too.

Idk what it is but when I look at them it’s like there’s almost something native about them. Or natives tried to resemble them. Not sure either way it’s a mystery it horses are so majestic.

NOT. Mustangs are descended domestic horses so mustangs aren't truly wild
Lovely. Magnificient and to me quite mysterious beings. There's something refreshing about the freedom wild horses have.
I watch these beautiful Mustangs in their rural environment. Completely wild, never scared by man. They appear strong, happy, healthy. Observing the behaviors and respects between the bands. Amazing, beautiful and some fantastic markings
Precious footage of the wild world we want to preserve and protect. Beautifully done! Thank you.
You’d think they would eventually end up mostly bays and sorrels, but there’s so much color variation, it’s amazing. Palaminos, buckskins, blue roan, pintos, even a few white ones.
Living their best life with no bit jammed it their mouth, no saddle to weigh them down or humans to whip them . I love seeing animals living free like this 🤗🤗🤗
There’s nothing more beautiful then these magnificent horses😊

I agree 💯 So many different patterns. Wouldn't it be nice to have one of each!
I have rescued so many horses here at my ranch In Montana. I’ve only been able to give up 3 for adoption, which left me with 11. I just can’t seem to give them up. Wife said “just keep doing what you’re doing, we’ll definitely get more” ❤
My 1995 model is out of Oregon. He’s a roan bay pinto. Looks just like the bay pinto in this video. Picked him up 6 years ago out of a kill pen. Only seeing him in a photo I knew I needed him. He will live out his time with me. God willing.

Beautiful horses and I love the mysterious, wandering music they are set to here. Thank you.
Thank You! Did my soul good to view this today
They are so beautiful, looking happy and healthy... God Bless them. Thank you for posting!
This morning, I dreamt of two large black horses. They were in a large field at the base of hills in the countryside. It was right before a rain or thunderstorm was about to start. You could sense it. One of them ran, not quite a gallop but large and strong nonetheless toward me. I could feel the emotion of how powerful and beautiful it was in my dream. Then it pulled up a bit away from me but allowed me to come closer and stroke its nose and neck. It was such a lovely feeling. I have no idea where that dream came from, I’ve never had any connection to horses whatsoever but I woke up feeling blessed and loved. Wonderful.
Beautiful..i remember seeing my first mustangs when i was five at the Nevada Calif border.. breathtaking as always
Thank you for your enthusiasm and beautiful video, Mustang Meg. I appreciate the way you noted everything in great details.
Very beautiful! I wish this horses will be free forever❤

Wow! What gorgeous horses! We were lucky about 10 years ago, to see a small band of these wildies at the base of the Steens. Magnificient! ❤
Those colors are stunning, these horses are meant to stay wild.

I've actually been following your work for many years now but somehow you'd dropped off my radar. I love the pintos, having been rescued by one 50 years ago, and this video is sweetness. I'm glad to get you back. I'm off to watch Hidalgo again.
Enjoyed your mustang video. Thanks. Jim, TN
Must be perfect conditions for these lovely horses. They are sleek and well fed. Great photos. I have to say thanks for taking the time and sharing.
The beauty of see something so free, beautiful, and filled with such wonderful spirit you can see emitting from them.
Hopi is one beautiful filly. So many paints! Thank you.
This film is a masterpiece. The filming, the music. Letting the horses speak for themselvse rather than narrating.

You have some of the most beautiful wild mustangs in Oregon. The goats are a nice added touch :) They just follow her! I pause the video like every 10 seconds and just stare at the beauty of these mustangs.
Just Beautiful❤❤❤❤❤🐎🐎🐎🐎 Run free!
Nothing more beautiful than watching these guys do their everyday thing. Such beauty. They are not one worry from a human hand. Meaning they have not been what we call "broken". It has always been a dream of mine to have land and to keep a herd of mustangs. They could live as they are now. Care free. Yes it would be fenced in. But I am talking like 100 acres or more.

Thank you. Such beautiful, majestic animals. They all deserve to be free to roam our wild places, revered by those of us that appreciate their freedom and beauty. Each and every one of them need our voices in order to remain free from abuse, cruelty and slaughter. Please raise your voices , contact your legislators. Your voice can save these wonderful animals, please use it since they cannot speak for themselves. Ask your representatives to sign on to, and support, S.2006 - John Stringer Rainey SAFE Act. It will help stop the shipment of our free roaming horses to slaughter.

@@MustangMeg Well I'm glad at least that it is not impeding his ability to be the band stallion; and that it seems to be improving. I noticed because I have followed your posts for a long time, and have worked with domestic horses for a number of years. Little things like that catch my eye.

Thankyou. That was amazing
Thank you for sharing this wonderful experience. We need to protect and preserve their habitat. We need to stop destroying the environment. Humans think they are the most intelegent animal on this plant, yet we are destroying it with air pollution, fracking, oil drilling, polluting the oceans and polluting our fresh ground water, destroying natural habitat for other creatures. I am an old person, I've watched our climate change where winters are shorter and summers are longer and hotter. It makes me sad that it has taken my life time to make progress and only a few years to seeing all that progress extinguished in the name of Greed/Profit. I want to thank Greta for stepping forward to highlight environmental issues and the maker of this video who showed us the magic and beauty that humans are destroying.

I’m not personally doing any of those things that you mentioned fracking, etc. Just what do you propose human beings are supposed to do to survive, since you are so accusing, and opinionated as what human beings are doing?
