Would you mind sharing your opinion of how the Nemo Dagger Osmo 2P stands up against the wind? I am trying to decide between 3 and your camping appears similar to my target along the Wild Atlantic Way. I am torn between your tent, the Nemo Hornet Elite 2P, and the MSR Hubba Hubba 2P. Appreciate any insight ye might be able to offer! Great work on the videos!

Жыл бұрын
Hey bro! Personally I haven’t been out in my Dagger in any major winds as I’m quite picky when I choose to go camp, but out of the choices your looking at for the Wild Atlantic Way it’s probably the best choice. It’s the one I’d personally pic anyway as the Hornet Elite is a favourite of mine, it’s almost to lite and slim for the strong winds and weather changes. Then the Hubba Hubba is a fantastic tent, no issues there at all, I also have one. The only difference is it’s heavier than the Dagger. They are similar shape and size but Dagger is just a much easier set up, super fast, super easy, looks prettier haha again that’s just my opinion haha but main one is, lighter and more compact ☺️ Super reliable! Hope that helps man, thanks a million for taking time to watch ☺️

Great Video John! Any tips on a first time wild camper in the Wicklow mountains?
@johndillon4991
3 жыл бұрын
Cheers Alex ☺️ Id definitely recommend a camp close to Lough Ouler or Glenmacnass waterfall for a first camp if it’s first time. You’ll have the river beside ya and can find a nice flat spot pretty easy 🏕 As it’s back being super busy up the hills at the moment I’d be cautious about leaving the car bro, that’s one thing I will note. I drive an old bagger so I’m never to worried haha but if possible if you were to get dropped off and picked up at this time of year would be key. It just eases the mind a little and your not worried about your car being broken into or vandalised. It’s sadly kinda a regular occurrence up there 😕 A good sleeping bag and air pad and your set 😋 All in all you’ll have a blast once your ready and prepared ☺️

@johndillon4991
3 жыл бұрын
@@alexcreedon7183 Sea To Summit do fantastic light weight sleeping bags bro. I did a lot of reserve before purchasing mine. I paid well for it, but I’m so happy with it. It’s one of them great life investments that you’ll have for many years to come. But they also do cheaper bags then the particular one I have and are super good and really compressible. I personally go with down sleeping bags. Now down is useless once it gets wet, but when I head away I usually make sure I’m gonna have a dry weekend so I’m never worried about the weather. But down is fantastic for compressing and makes a hell of a lot more room in that backpack. But it’s up to yourself to bro witch you prefer and what your plans are. But Sea To Summit are fantastic. You’ll maybe pay a little extra but with that you’ll shave off weight and make more room for yourself ☺️

Would you mind sharing your opinion of how the Nemo Dagger Osmo 2P stands up against the wind? Appreciate any insight ye might be able to offer! Great work on the videos!

@@johndillon4991 Any recommendations for a light sleeping bag? I have one rated to -2 comfort, but it's not particularly compressible.
