When I saw the process involved Pikmin, I was so overjoyed cause I love the Pikmin games. I laughed when the one purple Pikmin almost got left behind, and when the transfer was done and the Pikmin started cheering, I couldn't help but clap for them. So cute! :)

Guess the Pikmin realizes the Wii world is coming to end, so they moved all the data to the rocket, blasted off to the new planet , wii U. Once there, they unpacked and started moving in and feel like thebWii U is now their new home. Meanwhile the old planet, Wii exploded into bits and pieces.

I had heard about this process and that it involved Pikmin before but I didn't think it would have been more than them walking from left to right on the screen. This is awesome!

the way nintendo used the PIKMIN of all things to do the transfer was so creative even the little gag at the end of pt.1 with the purple pikmin almost getting left behind was GENIUS the only thing that could have made it better was if olimar was leading the way I WISH THEY DO IT AGAIN WITH THE SWITCH TO THE NEXT CONSOLE CAUSE I WOULD LOVE TO SEE IT

Got a question for you, I want to transfer all my VC and WiiWare games over but I've got them on a SD Card rather than the Wii's internal memory. If I were to do the transfer now, would have I to redownload the games or would I just be able to stick the SD card into my Wii U and play them all off of that like I did on my Wii?

I already have two separate SD cards, one in my Wii, and the other in my Wii U... If I have all my Wii's VC games on its own SD card, do I need to move all that data to the Wii System Memory before I do the transfer, and then put the Wii U's empty SD card into the Wii so it can be transferred? I'm so confused by steps 1 and 2 because there's already an SD card in both consoles. Please help me out before I continue with the procedure and fuck myself over.

I don't understand. I download and try to open the Wii System Transfer in the Wii U's Wii menu and it says it's corrupted. There's nothing I can do.

Fivepitts yep all your game data including the physical game saves will get transferred to your Wii U

Yes, but the save files would be on your Wii U. You could stay play the games on the Wii but you'd have to start your progress from the start.

After the transfer the Nintendo Wii RAM will be permanently erased so you can not do a transfer from the Nintendo Wii U to the Nintendo Wii.

I think the internet is so the Wii checks if everything is from from the Wii Shop Channel, so it won't Homebrew your Wii U.

I have two questions. Do you still have all the transfered things on your Wii ? And can you do still download VC and WiiWare games on your Wii U after the Wii shop channel has been closed ?

Yeah, the Wii-to-U transfer is never gonna take that long since Wiis only have one possible capacity for their internal storage: 512MB (0.5GB). This is even true for the Wii U's vWii mode.

the switch should get on the wii's level also the thing to hate about pickmin there is none

Mine said there is a probkem transferring from the Wii.
