Thank you for the detailed video. I have the Asus RT AX82U I’m on 1000Mps FTTP set up was easy, left everything on auto, getting good wireless speeds both WiFi 5 and 6 however as soon as we move to the other room it drops on WiFi 6. My house is open plan the router is high in the hallway. I did try turning 160Mz off and QoS off and on no joy. Any idea thanks.

Hi, I have exactly the same router gt-ax11000 but the issue I am facing on it is that my devices aren’t picking up 5GHz band. As in when I search for it in my wifi settings on my iPhone 14, my 5GHz band just doesn’t show up. I have tied factory resetting the router as well as messing around with different control channels but no luck. Any solution?

Hello, could you please tell me why you selected 48 for control channel under 5 GHz-1? (mine was on 36). I also need to know the best settings for 5 GHz-2 because you missed this also. I also would of liked to see how to set up smart connect and wps which you skipped too. On the last Tab Professional you totally skipped region (mine is on Asia) can’t even see what yours is on either? Thank you much

Control channel is based on your surroundings; just because someone else has it doesn't mean you should have the same. In fact, you should steer away from it. There's an app that lets you see your neighbor's channel, but you really don't want to be on the same channel as everyone else because it gets really crowded. Your Wi-Fi speeds won't be as high, and your signal won't go as far. If you want to find the best channels for yourself, I would recommend downloading an app called "WiFi Analyzer." It basically lets you see which channels your neighbors are using and shows if a particular channel is crowded or not. Basically, you should choose the channel that has the fewest people or no one using it. Hope This Helps!

It good to turn on smart connect. This feature let you connect to 2.4ghz or 5ghz automatically depend on your device. Best part about this s that if you walk further away it will switch to 2.4ghz instead of drop signal than you will need manually switch. Use signal steer for how week signal before it will switch.

When running AImesh, do I need to configure the time scheduling on ALL THE Nodes or/and the main router? I had to run AImesh configuration again. A real hassle. Any one experience this?

@@EclipseReviews I assumed that the time schedule will turn off the wifi. I set to turn off wifi on the main router between midnight and 6am, when i tried to use the wifi from the nodes after that time... I couldn't connect it, but the main router was okay. I checked the GUI and the node was disconnected. I tried unplug the node but nothing happen, I had to reset the node and reMesh to the main router. I am not sure if turning off the wifi from the main caused the node to disconnect. But it should automatically reconnect to the main node when the wifi time scheduling is off...

Does sound like a strange problem, first thing I would do is note down on your table/computer your current settings. Then perform a factory reset of the router, and then setup the router this may take some time and be a pain but at least it will give the router a fresh boot. If the problem still is the same then, check to see in Advanced settings > Administration > System (tab) > Under 'Network Monitoring' select 'Ping' > Ping Target 'Choose whichever website you prefer' from the dropdown > Click 'Apply' . This may help to keep your internet connection alive.

NIce video, so thank you for making it. You just possibly don't know physics enough and I won't blame you for that but in order to make it clear because it was mentioned many times in your video, the higher the frequency would associated with the lower bandwidth (Not higher) Or on the other hand, frequency and bandwidth goes on the opposite direction of each other based upon obvious wave physics characteristics. That is why the coverage would be more limited if wifi generates connection on higher frequencies with lower bandwidth vs lower frequencies with higher bandwidth. And finally. I was personally expecting to get a more in depth tutorial video for the setup vs reading the help menu on each category and explaining what it says in plain English. There are several setting adjustment titles that you went through but didn't even explain accurately.
