I'm reading a lot of comments about this not technically being a Jammer. Think of them like being super LOUD to drown out all other noise. They're expensive and HIGHLY ILLEGAL. The WiFi Internet ESP8266 hack is more useful because it has more functions. Deauthenticate, Beacon (SPAM NETWORK NAMES), Clone (create false copies of the same network name, and Probe Request. Plus this IS LEGAL if you only use it for network testing and on equipment that you own. Basically if you bring this to a coffee shop (that you don't own) and mess with people, then you're breaking the law. You've been warned.

You could use only esp8266 module not all node! That will be much smaller! And than you can add battery charging circuit in lighter! Please try it! And you can maybe add it to multi lighter!

How do you connect the deauther to a phone or a laptop when the usb connection is inside the lighter? And won't the battery destroy the wemos if you connect it through the usb port?

does it not work on windows 8.1 pro? i have the device and laptop beeps and recognizes it and the wifi created is the ESP but, that is all its not a wifi that I can connect to unless of course maybe I download the github firmware which i cannot find can you provide the link to download the firmware and how do i access the interface?

What about building a burning laser into one of those? It's got that whole other side that could be drilled for a heatsink and laser element. The back looks like it would fit two of the battery that you used here. That's more than enough to power a high power laser diode. Current limiting could be taken care of with a simple resistor in line with the battery. Focusing could be done with a 3D printed knurled knob on the lens assembly. That way you could light things on fire at a distance too. That said it should probably have a safety lockout switch so that you can't accidentally fire it because the consequences could potentially be pretty bad. I think it's a good idea that would be as fun as it is useful... In fact I'd be willing to bet that people would buy something like that for a premium... I would...

He connected the battery negative to the node-negative (Black wire), And the battery positive to port one, the node-positive to port two. This allowed him to switch on and off at will.

Apparently not. That's just for input. The beacon is over the WiFi ESP8266 or ESP32 chip. The rest is just a micro controller to program the chips. So this could get even smaller!

Adrian Fuller It's a deauthenticator. It makes them continually have to type in the password for the WiFi. But there's more than one attack mode so in my opinion this is better. Just don't take it anywhere public.

Yeah i hate him for calling it a jammer but you dont need to give the password he can still make you log out of the wifi without any password (but id you have a newer router then that problem would be fixed the purpose of this project is for people to upgrade their router)
