WiFi Jammer

Ғылым және технология

In this video I will show you how to build a wifi jammer that works on the 2,4GHz spectrum. I have simplified the design to make it much easier to follow and build. It is now powered by a removable battery that can be taken out and charged. Check the links below for all the parts on ebay.

    I knew there was a good reason to save those dozens of Wi-Fi antennas I got for free. At one time there was a small "antenna tester" called the AirHorn. It made a very effective Jammer (shh) too, and had its own GUI control package for the PC. It attached via a USB cable. As a jammer it was under-powered, but could be very useful in a large apartment complex for driving your neighbors to other channels

    thank you for your video, it is educational. I here in the near future hope to start my little computer shop again ,but we live in a small community. I hope and have great respect for the law here in the USA. On occasions the law may need answers to technical questions. I aim to help them in every respect. I do see where jamming can have its uses though, like in a theater or concert possibly. its just one may never know the importance of a call or text if you would. As pointed out in your other subscribers replies, jammers can be tracked as well. To put it simple is knowledge is power.

    I really think you have to be considerate as well as very careful using such a jammer. What's good enough for the goose is good enough for the gander. I'd be very upset if some one was doing that to me. I'd use a WiFi direction finder to find out who was doing it and then there would be payback. Back in the days of CB Radio I tracked down some one abusing the CB bands, swearing, causing all sorts of problems night after night. I built a micro transmitter designed to transmit a messy carrier signal into all channels. It was only the size of a cigarette pack and transmitted only a very low power signal so I threw it onto his roof very near his antenna. It slide down into his gutter and shut him down for a couple weeks without bothering any one else until the the battery pack gave up. The really funny part was, he knew I fixed CB radios and brought his kit to me to fix. Needless to say I had serious problems fixing it. It took me weeks waiting parts it certainly did not need!

    Hello, your video has helped me a lot for the construction and presentation of one as a school project, so I thank you for the video, however I have some questions that I wondered if you could answer: With the Jammer that I have built, the signal is not inhibited , but dims, in my tests a 70mbps download and 31mbps upload connection dims to a 4.70 on both. Why has this happened? Why hasn't it been disabled? The components are the same and the only difference is the battery that in my case was used a 3.7 volt lithium cell phone battery, it was slightly discharged. Secondly, the inhibition area is quite poor, the devices to be inhibited must be extremely close for their signal to be attenuated. Finally, what is the spectrum analyzer program or device that you use, both the tablet and the computer?

It'd also be interesting to see how a school would react if their signal was being jammed... my school's so dependant on Wifi for literally everything that they'd probably cancel classes if someone used one of these. But these are all hypothetical situations ofc 😉

I wrote to the seller and he told me that I have to place the jumpers between pin 4 and 7 were 7 is ground - vcc, then lets say 5 and 7, and 6 and 7 and leave one board like you with no jumpers... Does it sound logical to you to use the ground? He says that way I will get channel 1 -2-3-4... I would love to send you a closeup picture of the board, but I do not now how. If you can give me a hand I would appreciate it very much. Cheers

    Dunno if you see this but... I use XLT24017 as the ones you exposed here are not to be found anymore (by me at least), and they run pretty hot. I can still touch them, but I have the feeling that´s not how it should be, or is it? I´m powering them with 4.95V as per the current specified is 5V on the datasheet... All comments are welcome! Cheers!

    @bunny lord I can't see your question, just the notification, strange, hope this reaches you; Honestly, and thinking about it, I admittedly tried only the preinstalled little piece-o-cable antenna it was shipped with as the antennas I got shipped were sent with a wrong conenctor (their fault, I'll be getting new ones reshipped). I guess with the correct full sized ones (with ground conencted as per the shielding) should help (?). Otherwise, my test in my house showed indeed a breakdown in the communication, even with those cable-antennas... Thank you for commenting and investing time!

    I don't understand really how the jammer works. Sure you have 4 different transmitters but from what I can see you simply fill up the spectrum with junk. But how do you target specific frequencies with it? Is that transmitter built to work across all wifi channels? What's the real purpose of that transmitter? What kind of equipment would you use to receive the signal?

  • @markcohen2533

    @markcohen2533

    each chip fills three channels of wifi ( I think he said this) so having all four outputting within their frequency band they fill up all the 2.4-2.483 ghz wifi spectrumim sure your question was already answered, but for anyone wondering something similar
